YogaMama :  the PIO was NBD. I’m so surprised. I rubbed it after and am now applying some heating pad to help the med liquefy.

How is do you guys store your PIO?? Fridge, no fridge?

niki1983 :  I’m sorry you are struggling.  I feel that way when my thyroid gets all out of whack and it is the worst!

YogaMama : So it turns out that I did the PIO in the wrong spot.  I did it too low and too in the middle.  I’m hoping it doesn’t hurt when I do it in the right spot.  I have two big black permanent marker circles on my hips to help tonight.  They seem so high.  Here’s a pic.  If it is huge them I’m going to delete it.

MrsBG :  I do mine at about the center right side of that circle.  Def go higher, too low will make your bum sore.

niki1983 :  Oh no!!! Thankfully the weekend is coming up!  Re the shot – my husband did it.  I might try and do it myself.  Other bees said they have done it themselves though.

MrsBG :  sorry just saw your other post! Yes I think your black circle seems to be more in the hip area – that’s where I try to aim for. Though after a few days it gets really sore and I know I’ve gone lower than I’m supposed to!

MrsBG :  oh great! Is the gel like the vaginal progesterone?

Edit- just read further in the thread lol. I did the vaginal progesterone 3 times a day. I had to wear a pad by the 3rd day it was leaking out like crazy. Wore a pad for weeks probably until I was like 8 weeks along. It was annoying feeling like I was always on my period but Whatever lol. It came in a pill form with an applicator like a tampon and I think the pills looked like the fun dip sticks 😂 . That’s exactly where they told me to aim and I had them draw permanent circles as well lol good luck with the shots!

MrsBG :  I love that you posted that pic lol!  That’s where they drew the maps on me, too. I haven’t done PIO yet (since we haven’t transferred) but hopefully eventually we will get to that point one day and I will remember to bring a permanent market with me! They did mine with regular pen and it washed off right away.

niki1983 :  I think you are referring to me- I did PIO myself! By the end, I found it hurt a little less. I had to learn to do it myself out of necessity- during our TWW DH went on a guys trip for over a week. Then there were a few days where I was out with friends or family and he wasn’t around to do them. DH did them all during our first failed transfer. It really wasn’t that bad, just had to get used to holding the needle and injecting it. I did a few practice runs with DH assisting the few days before he left- the first time I put the needle in and then he held it steady while I figured out how my hand had to be positioned. I did it in restroom stalls twice- that was even trickier but I managed.

For whoever asked, keep the PIO at room temp.

You ladies got this- I told you that PIO wasn’t THAT bad compared to everything else 🙂

Dreaming13 :  I’m not a fan of the PIO. It hurts. My first shot in the wrong spot bothered me less than the one in the right spot. It doesn’t hurt when I get it, it hurts the next day. I could do stim shots forever.

BeeBlake :  I’m glad you enjoyed it. I figured it might help someone. I tried to crop out as much crack as possible but you need it for reference. 😬

QUESTION: those of you that did transfers and tested early, when did you get a positive?

MrsBG :  I got my squinter 4 days after a 5d transfer, in the evening w/ a 4+ hour hold.

MrsBG :  Are you massaging the spot after? You can also use heat after (I have one of those microwave heat things that I used sometimes). I found that if I walked around after the injection it absorbed better and gave me fewer issues compared to the times when I didn’t move as much.

I didn’t test early (well I tested the night before beta after a 3+ hour hold)
