apostrophecatastrophe :  Thank you!  Yes, I am worried about the bloating but not overly.  I just plan to be in super comfy clothes!  But may need to invest in a bigger pair of work pants just in case.  They told me my ovaries are currently around the size of grapes and will grow to about an orange….  I am fairly small so I think two oranges in my stomach will be noticable.  I have a high AMH and around 15 follicles in each ovary so producing a bunch of eggs will probably happen to me too.

Such good news for that couple!  My sister has the same issues as me (well except she has a hubby so they tried several IUI’s before IVF) and she did a fresh transfer the first time and it worked so my mom was really concerned as to why they do not want to do a fresh with me.  I explained it to her the best I could.  I’ll tell her your anecdote to help ease her 🙂

1111makeawish :  Bigger work pants was definitely necessary for me. Aw, moms do not understand IVF. When I was telling my mom and my aunt about how I will have to take progesterone, they BOTH said, “Isn’t that a hormone that only men have??” What??

apostrophecatastrophe :  How much bigger of a size did you get?  Haha that is hilarious!  I am assuming they got it confused with testosterone?  Even though women do have that too haha.  And no, my mom has no idea besides what she witnessed my sister go through.  My mom conceived and delivered 7 healthy children naturally and never had a miscarriage so the whole infertility concept is foreign to her.  But I will say she is very sympathetic towards it which is nice because she isn’t always the most supportive.

1111makeawish :  I’m glad to hear your mom is sympathetic and supportive. Mine has been great, too. She just doesn’t understand science sometimes. So I think I bought a pair of black dress pants that were one size bigger than usual because they have some stretch to them and then a pair of gray-ish khakis that are two sizes bigger than usual because they don’t have much give to them. In addition to the bloating, I wasn’t allowed to exercise for two weeks while I was doing the stim shots and then for two weeks after retrieval while I was recovering from the retrieval so I’m still wearing the bigger pants. Hoping to lose a few pounds before transfer!
