mama2bee71 :   Sending a virtual hug!! I am sorry your transfer got pushed back! Ivf is so unpredictable and stressful. No advice other then if your cycle does gets cancelled maybe next time you could try acupuncture? i was told that can help with your linning. Hoping other bees can give you more advice!! Hope all goes well for you and your linning is where they want it to be at your next appointment!

mama2bee71 :  I saw your update on the poas boards. How high did your estrogen get? Maybe your doctor can consider the patch?

mama2bee71 :  that stinks! Have you tried the estrogen patch? That’s what I’m on right now for my upcoming FET. The only downside is once you get up to 4 patches a day I start running out of fresh real estate to stick them all on.

mama2bee71 :  that’s so bizarre (especially since this is a new issue / going back to the poas thread reply).  What was your fet protocol? (We have ours in October but I have been researching a lot in anticipation). Did you prime with suprefact before estrogen?

This is my clinics guidelines:

mama2bee71 :  maybe you need more downregulation? (Bcp or bcp + suprefact) My fet protocol is like 7 weeks 😩 but they seem to have very good success rates. Maybe your body was trying to ovulate which messed up your hormones, since it was right after a procedure? Every cycle is so different, hopefully this is just a fluke.

on the other side, I don’t really think there’s a “cap” on estrogen dosing if your blood levels aren’t getting higher, it might be that you aren’t absorbing it properly. You could also ask about your tsh if that hasn’t been checked in the last year!

mama2bee71 :  as PP said my cycle is much longer. My clinic does 2-3 weeks of BCP, then overlaps lupron before stopping the pill.  I continue lupon while ramping up the estrogen (new patches every other day ramping up from 1 to eventually 4 at a time). After lining check it’s another week of estrogen and PIO before transfer. It will be 6 weeks from when I started BCP until I actually transfer.

As for the efficacy I’m not sure of the difference between patches vs other forms of estrogen. My clinic just does the patches and has good success rates though. T

what protocol are you on?  i did high antagonist first and that cycle became a freeze all.  i was successful with the long lupron protocol.

mama2bee71 :  I’m so sorry your cycle was cancelled.  Like some of the other ladies, my FET protocol is 7 weeks long, starting with BCP.  My clinic also starts us on 8mg of estrace a day so I’m a bit surprised they didn’t increase your dose even more to try and get something going.  But like you said, every clinic is different. I have heard that some women need the injections and don’t seem to absorb estrogen any other way and go on to have successful FETs so if that is the route your RE wants to take, hopefully it will work wonders for you!  Good luck!

mama2bee71 :  the doctor that did your appointment this morning probably isn’t supposed to say anything until the whole team looks at your results. I know when I did my IUI the doctor who did my follicle check said “oh I see three so I’d probably cancel this cycle” but he didn’t know our full history and diagnoses. My own doctor decided to go ahead because our MFI made it unlikely that any IUI would work, let alone get triplets (it didn’t work). I would go by your own doctor who has been following your case rather than the doctor who happened to be on call for the ultrasound.

mama2bee71 :  I got to a 7.5mm lining with 2mg orally and 1mg vaginally 3x a day. That cycle failed. This time we are adding estrogen patches to the above mentioned dosage. My doctor’s policy is to get the lining to 7mm or above, this time we are shooting for 8mm. Good luck and keep advocating for yourself.
