mama2bee71 :   sf618b :  I just did estrogen and my lining check today was 10mm. I start progesterone tomorrow and transfer next Friday!

Good luck on Monday! Does your clinic do Valium for transfer? Mine used to but apparently they stopped. I begged and they said they’ll give it to me since I had it last time hahaha. Let me just be blissful for a little while during a stressful time! I am absolutely testing early lol. I have no patience. We have been talking names already, my husband decided he no longer likes the boy name we had picked out for last time. Ugh. I’m campaigning hard to get it back in the running though! We like to wait though and see what the baby “tells” us. Two weeks before I gave birth I was like “I know this kid’s name” and he pointed out we didn’t know the sex. I was certain though. Sure enough out she came and he took one look at her and said “oh yea that’s her name” hahaha

Y’all can I butt in because I’m kind of freaking out. I had my first lining check on Friday and I was at just over 11mm. They told me to increase my estrogen and continue on with my calendar..which means another 2 weeks until transfer. Does this seem weird given my lining? I honestly thought they would bump up my transfer date and am convinced I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum and will be too thick to transfer. Is that a thing?!

mama2bee71 :  I got scared, cried like a big baby, and then it was fine lol. The estrogen really makes my moods go haywire so that doesn’t help. I literally burst into tears reading a book to my toddler yesterday because it was “scary” (it’s not scary – I’ve read it before – and it’s meant for toddlers…). But they did agree to give me valium! I have to come in earlier for my transfer to take it this time, but whatever. I just want it!

whitums :  not sure if too thick is a thing, but my clinic was super happy with my 10mm so I’m surprised they are making you wait!

mama2bee71 :  Ahhhh fingers crossed for you!!

LilliV :  The internet mostly says too thick isn’t a thing, but I totally picture like my lining being old and useless two weeks from now. I may be going insane.

I ended up emailing them just in case. They have not been super diligent in paying attention to details and I’ve had to constantly fix mistakes, so what’s one more email to verify things?!

mama2bee71 :  they did and said they didn’t expect my lining to get much thicker and that if I wanted to move my transfer date up I could, but don’t necessarily have to. Kind of a weird response!

mama2bee71 :  right?! Like why the hell are they asking me what to do? This whole experience has been bizarre. I basically said I want to do what’s best from a medical/success standpoint and to let me know.
