mama2bee71 : I am so glad you were able to transfer after all!! Good luck!! Fingere crossed for a sticky bean!!

LilliV :  Good luck with your transfer on Friday!! You are so lucky your place give you valume!! Mine sure didnt offer me any!

So interesting to read all these different protocols for a fet! I am hoping to do my last fet sometime next year

whitums :  Hummm that does seem strange. How long have you been on the estrogen? Maybe your clinic likes to do all their transfers around the same time so that’s why they are having you wait? Perhaps your linning just got thick very quickly. I agree with OP they are the experts but it’s your transfer and you deserve the feel comfortable so if you have more questions I wouldnt be afraid to call them and ask. Good luck to you!!

candy08 :  The experts comment was because they left it up to me if I wanted to change my schedule. They do not schedule for convenience, but do it by the individual’s protocol. I had originally requested a specific date, but when my first monitoring appt was that positive, I expected them to move my date. They told me they don’t like using estrogen for more than two weeks. I will have been on it for three weeks by the time of my transfer.

whitums :  if it makes you feel better my protocol is estrogen for 3 weeks (and 2 days…) before my transfer. And then it will continue until my pregnancy test.

whitums :  That is so odd they left it up to you!! I think I would call back and try to get more answers. I am sorry you are having to deal with this!!

LilliV :  That does, thank you! I think she might have meant two weeks of estrogen alone before PIO starts, which would be in line with what I’m doing. Last time I did a natural FET and the monitoring appts were super annoying, but I may try that again if this doesn’t work. I’m a raging psycho on estrogen lol. I hope it works better for you!

candy08 :  Thank you, I thought it was an odd response. I guess if they think it doesn’t really have an impact on the outcome, it would be my decision? Oh well..I’ll see what they say today and just try to chill out.

whitums :  Nope. Raging psycho over here too. Crying at everything! My daughter was a first-round fresh transfer and I’m told that FET has a higher success rate than fresh. But since had a successful fresh that must mean the FET is in the bag for me right? Right? Hopefully this is my last time jacking up my hormones!

LilliV :  Lol well crap! I honestly feel like I’m PMSing all day everyday. My husband is afraid of me and I can’t figure out if he actually sucks or I’m crazy lol. I was going to try back to back FET’s if this doesn’t work, but I don’t know if I can handle that much estrogen. I may end up on the evening news…

I have heard the same thing about FET success rates. I think it helps to not be on all of the drugs associated with IVF. I hope this is it for you!!
