I think it will look pretty, but you have to make sure that their dresses won’t overwhelm yours (that will look awkward). Ivory and white are two colors that quite resemble each other, so there must be something that differentiate their dresses from yours, not just the length. Perhaps they can have a sash like in the 4th pic @Meowkers posted.?

it is very pretty in the above pictures but the bride doesn’t stand out as much…if you are shy i would definitely go this route.

I saw a photoshoot of this as well the other day. I thought to myself… wow I would NEVER do that. I want to stand out, those pictures look so blended in, especially the first one.

I think it could be pretty if the dresses were shorter with colored sashes of somo sort, so that the bride would still stand out in some way. I still wouldn
t do it though...its just not for me.

I really think its beautiful but I would NEVER do it. The bride just really doesn’t stand out, she really just blends in and it should just be the bride in white.

I think it looks beautiful and fresh, gives the whole bridal party a lift! Especially a sweet airy choice for a ceremony location such as the beach. (That particular photo above is breathtaking!) As long as there is a distinct difference in the design of the dress from that of the bride, such as shorter Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses if the bride’s gown is long, or ruffles on the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses if the bride’s dress is sleek, I think that would still set the bride apart. For the same reason, I also like the addition of a sash perhaps for the BMs as illustrated above with coral/orange sashes.

I love the idea of going with white/ivory for the maids if the bride is in a coloured dress.

I love it! I kind of wish I’d done it… Oh well, too late now.

I actually think it’s one of those colors that looks better with mismatched dresses.
Ivory and cream and blush and taupe all together looks amazing!

It would look really pretty but I’d have them wear an accent color, big colored jewelry, a sash, and/or shoes.. and would want them in short dresses

I think that is pretty, but I’d probably make sure the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are very different from mine. I’d go for a more champagne color for BMs with black sash maybe? Definitely short with the bride’s dress long.

i agree that i would never personally do it. but thats partly because i love color and i have been dying for my purple Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses since forever! if i were to do it though, i think the BMs would need colored sashes at minimum,

@Miss Galaxy: I would definitely have my daughter wearing something short. Since I only have a best girl and a maid of honour who is 12 (my daughters) I am certain that I will stand out just fine and she won’t wear a long dress anyway. Best girl will likely be wearing black to match Fiance.

@kala_way: This photo you posted is my favorite! It’s a really interesting look I think and something that feels really unique since not many people are doing it. For myself I wanted a lot of color so my bridesmaid dresses and flowers were all strong colors. But this has a lovely simple look of its own.
