I had a diamond-white gown and searched for a FG’s dress that would match my dress. We found a gorgeous FG’s dress and ordered it. When it arrived in stark white instead, the FG’s mom and I were both concerned, and thankfully the bridal shop arranged for the company to send us a new dress — one even more beautiful than the one we originally had chosen. I’m very glad we had the diamond white dress for her, since, although I was married at 6 p.m. I was married outdoors in bright sunlight.

However, one of my best friends wore a light-ivory gown for her wedding, and her two FGs were in stark white, since, as I recall, the ivory tone in which the FGs’ dresses came was too dark for my friend’s liking. She had an indoor, evening wedding, so the dresses did not stand out as being dramatically different.

@Snow00774:  Well, but you’re outdoors an hour earlier than I was AND you’re getting married in September, four months after me, and the days will be shorter by then. Just check to see when the sun is supposed to be setting on the day you’re getting married (that ought to be able to be found online somewhere). If you’re heading into sunset at the time you and your Flower Girl will be standing next to each other, it may not be a problem. 🙂

ETA: Duh! Just ignore the first few words of my first sentence, as it makes no sense whatsoever, lol. I was somehow thinking an hour LATER not earlier, even though I obviously had the facts straight. The second part of what I wrote is fine. Sorry. I’m SUPER tired today, lol!
