I bought a sash online on Etsy and asked her to make it in white. When it arrived and I put it up to my dress, I realized my dress was darker than I thought…. Would an ivory dress and a white sash not be a good idea?? I really love the dash, but I’m worried to have it remade in fear that it won’t be the same shade of ivory… And the seller is in Isreal, so it’s a hassle. What should I do????

Personally if there is a noticeable color difference I wouldn’t do it. My dress is ivory and when placed by anything white it makes the ivory look dirty. It’s completely up to you but I wouldn’t mix the two

I personally don’t like to mix ivory and white unless that is your overall color scheme. Perhaps you can dye the sash another color? Or, send the Etsy make a swatch and have it remade to match exactly.

From the pics, I don’t like the look. The difference will be more pronounced in natural light. I wouldn’t use the white sash.

I’m not loving it like that either…

Love the sash! But I’d order another one – maybe you could send a tiny fabric swatch from the dress to the Etsy seller to see if she can match it.

I emailed the lady who made it. She said that when she makes ivory sashes she just dyes it with tea. I’m thinking about just doing it myself, because at least I have the dress here and know the exact shade I need. Plus, the lady lives in Isreal and it would take 20 days to ship it back and 20 days to receive it again.
