Wow, that’s a stunning dress! The colour is beautiful. Have you considered getting it made?

@frenchiemom:  It’s late here but I KNOW I have seen a dress like that. I love it. I’ll try to think of a similar one.

Casablanca. I’m doing ivory lace over champagne too, in the Casablanca 1975, but that one’s not strapless, but they do make a lot of strapless dresses. The 1999 is one off the top of my head. To me, theirs looks a little more pinkish.

@frenchiemom:  That is one lovely gown, but so is the first one (beautiful fit). I think the shape is flattering on you since you typically can’t go wrong with an A-line. Although I understand your bolero concern.

I’m pretty sure the Allure cafe color is not pinkish, but many of their lace overlay gowns are two-piece (a slip and then the overlay).  So you could theoretically order the dress in ivory and then have a seamstress copy the slip in the color you want.

You can pretty much find any color charmeuse you like at Mood Fabrics; they allow you to order swatches as well so you can find the right color match for you.

@frenchiemom:  You’re welcome!  Keep in mind that the two-piece Allure gowns tend to have sleeves and/or keyhole backs in case you have your heart set on a strapless gown.  I know 8764 has a slip; I think 8800 does too.  Other styles:

8903

2455

8856

Possibly 8923 (from a search on their website, it doesn’t say it in the description)

Obviously you can have a seamstress take any dress and replace the lining, but I think that would be more expensive than just copying the slip.
