I’m going to order my dress this evening, but am torn between white and ivory. The dress I tried on was ivory, but I’m concerned that it may look dull/dingy next to DH’s white shirt.
I’m ordering CMK513 from David’s Bridal (tea length Oleg Cassini):
Has anyone had the opportunity to see this dress (or any other Oleg Cassini gowns), in both white and ivory? If so, is there a big difference?

My dress is ivory and though Fiance is having a white shirt, he is going to do an Ivory tie and had the option of Ivory vest. The styylist even added little ivory cufflinks to tie the whole look together!

@Bopper78: My dress was antique white (“light gold” was the official color name), and it looked gorgeous next to DH’s ivory shirt! So I bet your ivory dress will be stunning next to DH’s white shirt!

My dress was called ivory cafe and I was worried about it looking weird next to white also so we chose for DH to wear ivory as well and looked great:)

@Bopper78: Order it in ivory if you want the detail of the lace to show in photos. When I used to photograph weddings I noticed that detailing on true white dresses tends to blow out in photos. Also, brides who specifically chose ivory dresses would get mad that the ivory didn’t photograph ivory (it photographs white.) It won’t look dingy next to your husbands white shirt at all.

White does not look dirty next to Ivory.
From another weddingbee post. The vast majority were of the opinion in that post that sales people will tell you this as Ivory shirts cost more but its hardly noticeable and who cares if you dont match exactly anyway. Its not a bad thing

Definitely Ivory! It’s more flattering 🙂

Ivory for sure! It’s the more flattering color for like 98% of brides in my opinion!

Thanks everyone…..decision made! Ivory it is!

Im wearing ivory and my fiance is wearing an ivory shirt. Im actually worried my dress might look too white next to his dress since I can barely tell that my dress is ivory as compared to white !

Good call 🙂 Ivory is beautiful! That’s what I went with and the lace detailing on the dress looks a thousand times better!

@Bopper78: I tried this dress on, and the ivory looked so much better than the white. The lace shows up nicely on the ivory, it seemed to not really be there on the white.

The ivory looks really well on you!
