mmadu :  I think the issue is more 1) what shade of champagne? There are big differences. Some shades are a peachy /blushy / Pinky champagne and some are a creamy, brown champagne. Do you have some pictures of you in the champagne dress and any dress in ivory?  2)personal preference obviously.

I also have dark skin and I am considering colors like champagne and nude. (whatever “nude” means, so many differences) Ivory/ white looks great too, but I personally just like the look of a little bit darker color under the lace.

I think, as with all colors you have to see what tone it is and then decide. I am sure you will be stunning in whatever color you choose! Good luck!

mmadu :  It is a lovely color, a lovely dress and you look stunning! If you love the dress “as is” (in that color) then do it. It certainly in no way clashes with your skin tone! It’s a lovely combination!

I think you can really pull off anything with your skintone, so I don’t think you need to worry about that. Personally I really love the look of darker skin against bright white. But the champagne/nude & ivory look is really popular right now and I found more dresses with this combo than white dresses when I was looking, too. I’m olive skinned and wanted a white dress for that contrast, but ended up with an ivory over champagne dress, and the look has grown on me.

Beautiful! I think you could pull off any color, but you can for sure pull of this champagne/ivory! I’d say go for it!

mmadu :  That dress and color look great on you! It might just be my computer, but it looks more blush to me. I think us girls with melanin can pull off just about any color 🙂

I feel like dark skin complexions look good in pretty much every color, so you’re probably safe.

ETA: Didn’t see the pics at first. That looks lovely! You have a great skin tone.

I think it looks gorgeous in this color. It is light enough that it still looks white, but there’s enough contrast that you can see all the gorgeous lace detail. I feel like if it was Ivory/Ivory that you would’t be able to see the lace as well.
