elizabethreza7:  My dress was considered ivory and it it looked white to me lol. I’m sure yours won’t be beige, just breathe. Maybe you can look at a sample from a store near you that carries that style in ivory just to put your mind at ease?

Edit: I found this thread witha picture of your dress in ivory.

Ivory looked white to me, compared to white which seamed a bit bright white. The ivory was a softer white. The pictures online can be skewed because of lighting. Go back to the salon to see an allure dress in ivory, it coulc ease your worries

Edit- I didn’t realize my phone autocorrected ivory to “ovory”. Wow

I did the same but I think mine might of been a different color though.  I’d have to look.  I feel ya, freaked out at first. I knew pure white washed me out, so I was trying to go with a different shade and still bought the wrong one.  My colors where Yellow and Grey.  I orginally had my flower girls in White but we change it to grey dresses so you couldn’t tell my dress wasn’t white.  I come from a very conservative family that if your not wearing “white” on your wedding then well you know I wasn’t “pure”.

Almost NO one even noticed, I’d say something later and they were like, “Really? I didn’t even noticed.”

So my question is what are your colors in your wedding?  That might make a difference.

My dress was ivory- and it was a darker ivory then most.  My husband is even wearing a white shirt- and I don’t think my dress looks dingy or beige.  Ivory is classicScreen_Shot_2014-07-24_at_10.55_.13_AM_

elizabethreza7:  Only One person comment about my non white dress.  But they were already causing tons of problems before the wedding.  They said, “Did you noticed that her dress wasn’t white?”  My cousin responded, “Oh yes and did you noticed how beautiful it looked on her, I saw her in Pure White and she looked like a ghost.  Ivory is a much better color for her.  In fact, I suggested it.”  Let just say that issue has never come up again.  If people talk about something silly like that they were looking too closely and they can take their stuck up nose some where else.  🙂  It’s your day wear Ivory proudly!  If you ever need to vent feel free to message me anytime.

Ivory is really just a less bright white usually, nowhere near beige. I wouldn’t worry at all, ivory is really beautiful in person! It’s just not STARK white.

My dress is ivory with a champagne lace overlay – the champagne definitely adds an almost beige color to it but the ivory itself is very white. I’ll add a photo of the ivory material of my dress.

Idk if the photo does it justice (my room lighting isn’t great so the top looks darker here) but it’s very white in person. If you did get the dress with champagne details it might look more like this:

Even with my champagne details my dress is pretty white in person. 😊

I honestly think ivory is more flattering that white on most people. White tends to be really stark and hid all the beautiful details. I like white for like minimalistic satin dresses. But ivory if paired beautifully with lace. So I wouldn’t worry about it. You tried ivory and loved it enough to buy it.

I am having the same thoughts with my dress! It is beige tulle with ivory lace on top and I am scared it’s going to look yellow/brown next to the groom 🙁 it also comes in a white but I ordered it in November and the salon said I can’t change the color without ordering a new one.

Looking at pictures of your dress in ivory, it doesn’t look dark at all!!! Like the other girls said, ivory tends to go better with post peoples skin tones. im sure youll look beautiful!
