I’m on a budget (who isn’t) and am thinking of making my own bouquet – when i say ‘bouquet’ i mean cutting some cascading ivy (my mum has it growing beautifully in her garden in abundance) and tying with a ribbon on the day. My daughter’s name is Ivy and our cocktail reception is 15th C Renaissance style with ivy candleabras. I don’t want the fuss of having to organise flowers and don’t want to go spend gazillions at a florist.
My bridesmaids have flower clutch purses (sage and burgundy) from Etsy which amazingly match their deep burgundy dresses perfectly and they love those. I had a pretty bridal one made to match my dress but now i’m thinking a nice big bunch of green ivy might look prettier and make more impact.
Anyone done this or anything similar – i don’t need flowers do I?
