My engagement ring is Brilliant Earth. Specs: 1.00 carat, ideal cut, round brilliant, J color, VVS2, GIA certified lab diamond. What a mouthful lmao. I happened upon the ring browsing eBay last week, and it was TOO good of a price to not get it. The whole set (came with the wedding band soldered) cost less than the moissanite stone AND setting I was going to get. Boyfriend and I had gone back and forth on lab diamond or moissanite. This will be the third ring we’ve purchased. This one we’re keeping.

I’m having the rings unsoldered and resized at the jeweler now and I should get them back tomorrow! Although I still need to wait for the proposal for it to officially be mine.

I have a J, .90 VS1 excellent cut diamond and I adore it. I love the warmth it gives off in the sunlight when I am driving it’s like you can see right through it. Under low lighting it just glows and other times it faces so white. I love that it has a life of its own.

This is my J colored .90ct Cushion Excellent cut VVS2 diamond. Fiance and I went with a J because I really like the depth of the warmer colored stones. Also the combination of the cut and color allowed us to choose a larger diamond than the ring budget would have allowed otherwise. I adore my ring and love how different it looks in different lights!

I love my J. It’s .83 ct, AGS 000 certified, VVS1.

She sparkles like crazy.

Gorgeous rings, everyone!  I really love colorless stones, but it’s crazy and beautiful how different J’s can look in different lighting.  I think a lot of people have J-colored stones and don’t even realize it because they have IGI graded stones (they grade color very liberally).

Just bought a j colored diamond triple EX 1.75 ct VVS1 from Clean Origin. I am super color sensitive but it’s definitely true that is you get an ideal/ excellent cut it masks the color. I do not see any warmth to my diamond at all… which in my opinion I’ve seen some G colors that I saw a ton of warmth in.

Here it is compared to my grandmothers diamond which is a 1.00 ct D color Ex cut IF

dont be scared of J colored diamonds they’re beautiful, better value, and wow the contrast is gorgeous. Cut is truly king.

My set is either I or J colored I never really bothered to look into it, and it’s from a big box store so we didn’t scope out the stone on its own. I hardly ever see anything but white glitter in it, and when it does seem a little more “buttery”, it just reminds me that it’s real. Photo of full set I’ll be wearing in 29 days!!! <3

My .9 GIA J VVS2 marquise set in rose gold. I think J color stones complement rose gold so well! 😍

I have a k, gia xxx set in white gold. And honestly I only see the warmth sometimes, when next to something like dining room table that is light wood or in creamy room like below. Most of the time I am blinded by the sparkle. I am glad we went down in color to get diamomd size fiance wanted within our tight budget.
