Sorry, ladies, but AGS is as good as GIA. It is a new trend -thanks to advertising, to say that GIA is better than AGS, but it is not, both are good.

I actually found this site by searching for photos of warm colored diamonds. I ended up purchasing a K and am so happy we saved the extra money! Thanks to everyone for posting!  Mine is an AGS K 000 Brian Gavin signature cushion cut. If you are worried about color, the cut really matters because it will determine how much light your diamond reflects and therefore how much color you see or don’t see in it. AGS is great for that as others mentioned because they grade the cut based on light performance. Mine can look absolutely or white or sometimes creamy…I know you want J, but here’s a K to compare

Also, from all the research I did and the advice of the place I purchased, platinum or white gold makes diamonds face up a shade whiter. I have rose gold so can’t say for sure, but when I went with the K that’s what they told me. Happy shopping! Congratulations!

Ha that’s me! 1.51 J antique cushion! That said I knew I was getting rose gold so I wasn’t afraid of a bit of warmth. ambivalence :

pinkflamingos :  Where have you heard it though? I’ve heard it from bees who have heard it before. Lol. If it’s true, someone must’ve compared and posted results. I’d love to see it so I know if AGS is truly grades softer on color.

I’ve seen people post about it before on the PriceScope forums.  Not sure why you’re loling?
