i’m using the silk chiffon dresses from j crew and they are super cute and fairly casual. the reason we didn’t go with the cotton cady is because they wrinkle SO EASILY. i found a lot of photos from weddings where the wrinkles were really noticeable in the photos. not sure if they offer a light caramel color, but if you’re willing to go with another color, you should check out those dresses.

If that’s the dress you love, why don’t you just have them buy it now?  They will probably go on sale soon if they are discontinuing the color…

true – jcrew often discontinues colors after the season.  I would a. buy them NOW! you could do mis matchy styles.  I did this, same color, different styles, it worked great!

or b. wait and see what new colors are coming you may like more!  Just call and ask for free fabric samples of the upcoming colors!

as you can see cotton cady wrinkles easily! (as one jcrew sales person told me once “it’s pronounced cdy“. umm okay right.  I’m going to keep saying Cady.

I wore that to a wedding this summer. I love JCrew. I swore that I would NEVER use that material for my dress. It’s a beautiful dress when you wear it. Just make sure you don’t move around because it wrinkles very easily. If it’s the color you are in love with, why don’t you get it in one of their silk materials?
