@futuremrscimmino: I have the silk tricotine and so far I am really happy with it. I didn’t get to try on the chiffon, so I can’t really compare. Here is a picture of me in the dress. It does tend to show every bump, I will definitely need to get some smooth undergarments.

Another plus, I got a little spot on it and the dry cleaner was able to just wipe it off with some solution rather than actually cleaning it.

I actually went with the J. Crew Gracie in the end but tried on both the chiffon and the tricotine Sophia gowns…

I was kind of disappointed by the quality of the chiffon; it was a very thin layer of chiffon and the lining of the dress was not real silk. It wasn’t as pretty as it was online… it actually almost felt like I was wearing crepe paper. I also found a few snags in the dress even though it was brand new from jcrew.com.

The tricotine felt really luxurious and is a super easy material to alter (the dress I went with is the same material).

@egradk2: The dress looks gorgeous on you! One hint I will give you about undergarments because my dress is made of the same material as yours… every slip I tried showed underneath this dress. I’m going with a very thin, sheer lace strapless bra and a lace thong because they are the only things I tried that didn’t show under the silk tricotine.

I got the Sophia in chiffon and I ended up returning it. It was not nice quality, imo.
