Sorry, but you don’t throw your own shower. This is considered really rude and a “gift grab” by many.

We had a couples shower, thrown by our maid of honor & best man. We didn’t play any games though. They had asked us if we wanted games, and we both felt that games seemed more like a bridal shower so we told them to skip them. Our shower was actually BBQ themed too, except it was at a resturant overlooking a river. Most of the guys at our shower were perfectly happy to mingle, eat ribs & drink the alcohol, haha.

Are you throwing this shower for you or for someone else?

@JenniferWay13:  Then perhaps you could call it an egagmenet party rather than a shower. Shower, to me, implies gifts.

You could do something like the shoe game (not sure of the name of it) where you and Fiance sit back to back. You hold one of your shoes and one of his. He does the same. Someone asks questions like who’s the better cook, who snores louder, who has a more annoying mom, etc. And you raise the shoe of the person you think it is. It’s funny to see what you agree and disagree on, and the guests get a good laugh.

You could also do couples mad libs or something of the sort.
