Jack Kelege vs. Tacori

I have a Tacori setting in platinum, and it has worn extremely well for approximately eight years. It is not one of the newer style multiple halo, intricate basket models — it was from the crescent collection in a three stone style with diamonds on the shank and sides. It has been resized, and has not been compromised. I think this might have a lot to do with what your style preference is — halos, tiny detailed diamonds and very narrow bands under two mm will be more prone to wear and breaking overall. What styles were you looking at?

In my opinion Tacori is very overpriced. For that amount of money I’d want a bespoke, hand forged ring from Leon Mege or Victor Canera. If you like the JK I would get that one,

I just received my new setting and matching band from Victor Canera! Really impressed with the hand forged quality and weight of the platinum. My center is also a 2 ct center diamond and I found his prices very reasonable! I thought Tacori was extremely overpriced when I looked at them.

I need to take a better pic, I only put them on outside the house because I’m 35 weeks pregnant fingers swelling a little at home from the heat and currently sick πŸ˜• sorry, nails also need to be done soon lol! But when I was searching for a round cathedral halo that would allow a band to sit flush, this design was my favorite. Check out his website, he has lots of gorgeous solitaires with pave. All in platinum!

I have a Tacori wedding set and I love it. The detail is amazing and the quality is top of the line.  I’ve never heard of Kelege. Good luck to you.

Thanks, I love the lighting in the car lol. Of course the car was stopped though. I am glad I got this reset done before the baby because it took a lot of time and research but it’s the first time I was truly wowed by a setting. A lot of generic stock settings from jewelers didn’t appeal to me. And most aren’t made to fit your exact center stone.

The halo is a cathedral with a straight bridge and the wedding band sits flush. I will take another pic of the stems which also have delicate pave.
