Haven’t been to Ochos Rios, but we were at Sandals Whitehouse.  Absolutely loved it!

Been to Ocho, not the resort but I loved it! It’s a great town. Go to the falls, it is one of the most incredible places I have ever been.

If you want to stay in Ocho, I would probably recommend Couples Tower Isle rather than Sandals. With Sandals you have to book a concierge category or higher just to get room service!

im going to second couples tower isle!

i didnt stay there but i did stay at couples swept away in negril and i had a friend stay at couples negril – both of us loved the resorts! couples is where its at.

but if you are thinking jamaica i would check out negril – very beautiful and relaxing – not so much in the way of site seeing but we really loved it – couples is great too because alot of the excursions like snorkling is included. i believe they even include a trip to the falls in their package -dont quote me, i cant remember if it was ochos rios or Mo bay that offered it. but one of them did.

My friend stayed at Couples Tower Isle for her honeymoon and absolutely loved it. I know so many people that have gone to Sandals and said they will never return. It is a much more expensive place to stay (which you can tell by all they pay for marketing) and the service is sub par. They’re typically not very new and if you read the reviews on tripadvisor.com you can see all the little stuff that Sandals doesn’t care about.

my honeymoon was at the jewel dunns river falls in ocho rios – we had a great time, and there was the right mix of things to do/places to relax – and the staff there was unbelievably awesome

I have! Fiance and I went there in July ’09 – we actually got engaged there! It is a nice resort, but definitely not 5 star. It wasn’t our honeymoon so we didn’t splurge on it. Overall, we had a great time. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are having a ball! If you need any information at all, please message me and I’d be more than happy to give you more details. Good luck!
