Hey Bees! We are getting married in September and planning to go on a honeymoon in January 2013. Thinking Jamaica but not 100% sure yet. There will be one if not a few couples going with us. In need of suggestions/opinions!
We would like: all-inclusive, couples-only (adult-only), swim up bar, around $3,000 total/couple, decent restaurants/bars, etc.
The trouble we’re having is that the other couple who is going wants to spend $3,000 or less. Most of the packages; including airfare, are around $4,000.
Any help appreciated!! 🙂

We honeymooned in Jamaica at Couples Swept Away and I seriously have been draming of going back ever since. We paid around 5k for our honeymoon BUT it was valentines/presidents day week. we booked late and our resort was booked full so we had to pay for their most expensive room but totally worth it. I think you can do it around 3k but i would highly suggest checking out couples Negril too – its a tad cheaper but just as nice from what i hear. i’ve heard amazing things about all the coupls resorts. Jamaica was beautiful! the beaches in Negril are like nothing you have ever seen. Do it!

We just returned from Sandals Montego Bay…. and WOW. We’re going to make it an annual trip now. I have not ONE bad thing to say about our experience. We did 7 nights but if we did less it may have been more in your budget. We also had a butler suite.
Are you sure you want to go with other couples, though? The one thing we kept saying through the week was we couldn’t imagine going with a group as some did…. it would take a lot away from the experience, for us, at least…

I have heard the couples resorts are very nice! A friend and her hubby just went on their honeymoon to Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios and LOVED it!
@CindyRelly: We do want to go with other couples. Doesn’t mean we have to spend all our time with them. We plan to go somewhere right after the wedding for a few nights, then go on our “honeymoon” in January.
We would be open to other locations. Dominican Republic is also on the list but have heard they aren’t as friendly/welcoming there?

Three words: COUPLES SWEPT AWAY.
I’ve been to a lot of high end resorts and so far that one is my favorite. I can’t wait to go back!!
