We went to Men’s Warehouse to pick out tuxedos and we loved the James Bond, black and white look with a bowtie. However, the store clerk suggested my fiancee match his vest and tie my ivory dress, and the rest of the groomsmen in black and white.
Has anyone done this or seen what it looks like?

I’ve seen it done, but I’m not sure I like it. I think the black tux looks best with the black tie and waistcoat, and you want the groom to look his best; and it still perfectly matches the bride.
The more common way to set apart the groomsmen is to give the groomsmen a different coloured bowtie (and maybe vest) to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Of course, there is nothing wrong with them all being in black and white – that’s what we did at my wedding. It was pretty obvious who was the groom anyway 🙂

@meraklu: I don’t personally like the clerk’s suggestion, but if you’d like some inspiration, there’s this great blog I read called The Suits of James Bond. Perhaps you could find something you like and pick out something similarly cut or styled at Men’s Warehouse?
