Yay! Does anyone else hate saying 9 months? I feel like people automatically think pregnancy. Haha, maybe I’m just weird though. But I’m excited! Finally out of the double-digit month count down! I’m hoping as of now, time will really go fast! I feel like I’ve gotten a lot done. Most of the major stuff. Here’s what I have done…
Things I have booked/chosen:
– Caterer/florist- Photographer- Videographer – finalizing contract this week- DJ – also finalizing contract this week- Church booked- Have chosen reception venue, can’t book until July 1st though :[- I have my dress!
Here’s my April agenda:
– Picking out my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses & getting their measurements next Saturday! So excited :)- Decide on my centerpieces- Start invisioning my invitations- Try and find a wedding cake I like- Start looking for wedding accessories (veil, etc)- Finalize guest list
Not too much to do this month, but enough to keep me busy, for sure!
I’m definitely getting excited. What about you girls? Anything big planned for April? We’ve got to get this board more active ladies!

~Ceremony/reception venue with caterer
~Wedding dress, navy shoes, earrings
~Corsages, bouts, and hair flowers
~Fiance wedding band
~Vases and other centerpiece table decor
~Cardbox, garter, and unity candle
~Mine and bridesmaids fabric flower bouquets
~Either book florist or decide to DIY – need to visit wholesale with my DOC
~Maybe some craft projects such as unity table decor, escort cards/table numbers, officiant corsage and new bridesmaids hair flowers, etc… So much DIY still!
Agreed – so excited! My favorite part I’m looking forward to is putting my dress on and getting ready, the vows, and the honeymoon!

Yey, this month I am going to purchase my Save-The-Date Cards, I meet with the catere on Saturday for a tasting, and hopefully I will book a videographer.
I am also going to try on my dress this weekend (it came in on Monday), shop of a veil, shoes and a head piece!

Thanks trugem I’d completely forgotten about Save-The-Date Cards. I really don’t have much done or plan on doing much yet. Our personal non-wedding life is a little crazy right now because Fiance is looking for a job, so wedding planning is sorta on pause. I still look at tons of things though and I can’t wait to start buying again. haha. I love the sound of “9months to go”, even if we wind up with 25ppl and we’re both wearing blue jeans it’ll be dandy by me because I can’t can’t wait to be his wife after 3yrs of engagement.

Hello ladies!! So far I have the following done:
– Reception site and caterer -Photographer – DOC – Wedding dress – Earrings and headband – Florist chosen but not booked yet – Began creating Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts – Bought FI’s ring – Began centerpieces – BMs are in the process of picking their dresses (I chose color and designers… they choose the dress!) – Invites designed and began creation – Ceremony site held – Officiant chosen – Flower girl dresses bought
-book florist – officially book ceremony site – discuss premarital counseling – continue to work on invites – continue to work on Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts – prettify unity candle
I’m with all of you! I can’t wait to be married! I never realized how bad saying 9 months can sound though! It always just excited me b/c 9 months sounds SOOO much closer than 10 months! (OH! And happy 9 months January 1 brides!!)
So I saw some of you are already getting ready to book your honeymoon! When do they recommend doing that? We’ve already chosen where we want to go but haven’t booked yet! Also, when are all of you doing cake tastings and such? Our reception site caters and provides the cake through a local bakery. We already did a tasting with the site but haven’t done one with the bakery. When do we do this? THANKS SO MUCH!!!

@TP to Bee – Gosh, you make me feel like I’m behind! You’re so prepared! I didn’t realize so many of y’all have already bought Fiance wedding band, I need to get on that!! But I totally know what you mean. 9 months sounds a ton shorter than 10 months. That’s so exciting :]

We just booked the honeymoon!!! I have been steadily moving along with things and all of a sudden in between invitation talk (we need them to be ready to take with us to Europe in June) my Fiance booked us the honeymoon. I was so shocked and expecting to take care of it sometime later. The only big things we have left to book are catering and FI’s suit!!

Yay! Getting so close!
We’re meeting with our baker next month, and we’re registered for a few dance classes! We’ve also got our save the dates designed and we’ll be working on getting them out by mid-May or so.
I need to talk to Fiance about booking the honeymoon! Looks like a lot of you already have that done – you make me feel behind! 🙂

Wow, you all are so ahead of me! All the vendors I’ve talked to get surprised when I say I’m planning a January wedding, so I’ve stopped contacting most of them!
So far, we’ve booked our ceremony/reception site (but the site included flowers, cake, champagne, the notary and the minister, hotel blocks and wedding night suite, and they’re contracted with a caterer, so we have an appointment to meet with him this summer), interviewed and decided on our favorite photographer (putting the deposit down next week), designed our invitations with a local stationer, tried on a bunch of dresses and (probably) decided on THE ONE, decided on colors and chose our bridal party, registered (I’m sure that we did that one too early, but we were so excited!).
As soon as we give our photographer the deposit, we’ll book our engagement session so that we can get the pictures back ASAP. We want to do save-the-dates with our pictures in them, but our wedding is a little bit of a “destination” for most of our guests (it’s in South Lake Tahoe), so we need to send out Save-The-Date Cards, as soon as humanly possible!
Okay, now that I’m talking about it, I feel better about how much I’ve planned. 🙂 It’s hard because I live with my maid of honor, and she’s getting married in October (I’m her Maid/Matron of Honor too!), so she’s ahead of me!

@MrsJellyBeanz: I completely understand. My parents are footing the bill so it makes it easier. I think after dating for over 6.5 years (7.5 by the wedding), everything is finally falling into place for us, even the bad things are turning out pretty good.
I may not get the Save-The-Date Cards out this month because we are having a hard time deciding which ones we want. I found some at 123 print, but they do not come with envelopes. I may look into post cards.

We found a potential rehearsal dinner place! We just need to call and make sure they can accommodate us and go try them! And I told my fiance that he needs to get on booking that honeymoon! 🙂
We’re also about halfway done with getting his outfit (and all the GMs)!
