Not testing today because my temping chart showed ovulation waaaay later than I thought it would be. I’m only on DPO6 now, so looks like Jan 29th is my new date! My temps are still above my coverline, with no spotting, which is awesome for me on Day 21. Fingers crossed that accupuncture might be helping with my short cycles.

ChiTownBee27 :  Sorry you’re feeling pessimistic. This process sucks a lot of life out of you! In your shoes, I’d go ahead and call the specialist and schedule an appointment. Many clinics have a wait list, so don’t be surprised if you can’t get in for a few months. Your first consult doesn’t really matter the day. If you’ve never run labs, they’ll want to do day 3 and mid-luteal phase (7dpo) tests, but you don’t need to make your consult the same day. With 2 CPs, they may want to run some additional tests. FWIW, my first RE consult was the day before my period was due and then I went back a few days later for cd3 work.

ChiTownBee27 :  hi bee, I’m so sorry you’re feeling down. I remember when I hit month 7-8 and was really starting to wonder if this would ever happen. I was looking into seeing a specialist at that point (I’m 39 too so no time to waste), when I actually did get pregnant on Cycle 8. That pregnancy didn’t last, unfortunately, but it did give me the kick in the a$$ I needed to go see someone and get testing done. I can tell you what a relief it was to put the process in someone else’s hands!! It will probably take you 1-3 months to get all the testing done, depending on your availability, as many tests need to be done at a certain time in your cycle (day 3 tests, HSG is usually day 6-10, then 7dpo testing, etc.) so I would just make an appointment and start testing on whatever the next scheduled test is coming up. It may be that you get pregnant while going through testing and don’t have to worry about it – I’ve seen that happen to several people! But if not, at least you have the ball rolling.

you’re in NYC, right? I used RMA of NY and really liked them. They’re huge (multiple locations around the city), but the doctors and nurses were wonderful and were willing to listen to my concerns and requests without treating me like a number. My RE called personally to tell me I was preggo and I think she was more excited than I was πŸ˜‚

ChiTownBee27 :  also, secondary infertility is a real thing and I’m so mad your doc brushed you off just because you were able to have a baby before 😑

Going to post this on both boards since I’m moving to February. I had a temp dip this morning and I’m currently spotting bright red with some cramping, so I think I’m out. We aren’t trying next month as I’m maid of honour in a wedding and the timing would be bad, so no roll calling for feb. I’ll keep up with everyone here though. Feeling pretty frustrated that last month my cycle was 28 days, and this month only 22.

tulipdazey :  Once he knew I had beta numbers he changed his mind about wanting to be told in person! He was excited. He took the call between client meetings in his boss’ car, so I didn’t get many reactions, but I know he’s excited.

I’ve been following along silently since I graduated from the December board.

So excited for all the bfps this month! Wishing you ladies uneventful pregnancies and healthy babies.

seconding the rma recommendation, they answered all my questions no matter how much I called back. They do get a little bit of factory feel especially during monitoring but the convince made up for it.

larissakay :  aww yay! My hubby had the same exact reaction he did the last 2 times – a look of fear, then excitement, then a squeaked ‘oh my god!’ it never gets old I guess! πŸ˜‚

sleepymelis :  it spiked yesterday to 98.7, but now it’s back down to 97.2, so I think the room was just really warm and it made for a fluke reading.
