The biggest help for me was starting a packing list for the rehersal supper / ceremony /venue. Starting this early has helped because I can add stuff to it as I remember or get feedback from other people. This really will be the go-to doc at the last minute to hopefully ensure that nothing will be forgotten.

What needs to be brought where, by whom, when.  I also added a column on where that item is now. (i.e. Dress & veil are at BM’s apt right now, so I will delegate her to bring it).

Getting it started helped me sort out what I still needed to do on the DIY front, and delegating helps alleviate some of the stress.

Also include a list of who needs to be paid what by whom in this packing list.

Good Luck!

@stargurl101: Thanks – this has also helped me out!

@misrusticj: the moment I am working on

– List of photos for the photographer

– Finishing up the place cards

– Making the menu’s for the table (buffet main, plated dessert) 2 per table

– Making my ceremony programs (have printed them off, now I am making them into fans)

– Finding white leotards or singlets for my flowergirls – have ordered them tutu’s which have come in – so cute 🙂

– Gifts for bridal party & parents

– Seating chart

– Getting eveything ready for the set up – we are doing the set up the day before and I am having a shoe box for each table with everything needed for that table inside so it is easy for whoever is setting up. Each shoe box has the place cards, table number, runner, decorations, favors etc and a photo on the top showing who sits where and what the table looks like.

– Starting to pay everyone (bills are due on, before or the day after the wedding but we want it all done in advance if we can) and making a list of who still needs to be paid.

Thats what I am working on at the moment – hope it helps!

Thanks for starting this thread! I’m going to bookmark it so I can make sure to include the things everyone lists!

Some of the ones I need to remember and do (in no particular order):

1) Finish overdue thank you notes (some are approaching a month and a half overdue. Talk about embarrassing!)

2) Shot list for photographer

3) Make sure to update my list of who gave what gift

4) Make sure wedding dress fits and get it pressed

5) Figure out logistics of how to get everyone to ceremony venue to reception venue

6) Try to do one nice thing for each friend/family member to remember that the world does not revolve around me. In addition, pray and read Bible more.

7) Pick out a song to dedicate to Fiance at reception

8) Make sure everyone knows where the rehersal and rehersal dinner site is

9) Figure out where out of town guests are staying and when they are arriving

10) Finalize seating chart

11) Pack for honeymoon

12) Return library books

13) Order textbooks for next school term

14) Make a list of vendors that still need to be paid (and pay them)

15) Make sure baker has recieved the ribbon for the cake

16) Exchange lingerie for that of the proper size

17) Make sure there are enough things on the registry

18) Wrap up bridesmaid gifts

19) Send out day-of schedule to everyone I can think of

20) Bring shoes to cobbler’s to get extra holes put in straps so that the shoes fit

21) Spend quality time with Fiance where we are not talking about the wedding

22) Spend quality time with Mom and Dad. I only have two weeks left living with them so I’m going to try to savour every moment!

I am… so not as far ahead as you all are.

One thing I’m working on not mentioned here is writing our vows and memorizing them.
