Hi everyone! I thought I’d get the January board started. I know that I was the unlucky person to break the hostess luck back in November, but hopefully nobody holds it against me! I’m laid up with mild but persistant COVID (pro tip: masks don’t always work, especially if you live in an area where people view them as an affront on their freedom and walk aroung Target’s grocery section coughing on things), so I have plenty of time for my hostessing duties.
Your age/ partner’s age: 31/41
Baby #: 1
Current Cycle Day/ DPO: CD 2
Ovulation Date: January 7th
POAS Date: January 24th, which will be 17 DPO if I make it that long, lol. I’m taking advantage of my forthcoming immunity and will be going to see my grandma, who lives alone and has struggled with the loneliness. I may sneak a few cheapies with me, we’ll see.
Usual Cycle Length: 26-27 days
Cycles Trying: this will be #8, which I never expected to reach. That being said, I feel like #7 was a bust because I clearly got COVID just a few DPO. There are also a few cycles where, in hindsight, we may have only gotten O-2, which I know has a high chance, but I’m trying to get more O and O-1.
BFP Plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements, etc.): Prenatals, no other supplements (testing last month showed everything on my end looks very normal), higher-quality prenatals, second month of no temping (just OPKs) because it was such a relief to not obsess over every tiny detail, and SMEP since it’s easy and takes the guess work out.
Trying anything new this month: covid antibodies? LOL. This is the first month post-CD 3 and CD 21 testing that indicated a good egg reserve/normal hormone levels/a health ovulation, so just planning to enjoy the lack of those anxieties. Also, just trying to surrender a bit to the universe’s timing. The fact that it’s taken so long has obviously been really hard, but getting covid made me happy about that…if it had worked at any point before this, being pregnant and having covid would have been HARD. You’re in the highest risk group, and it can cause some serious complications. I know there’s the whole butterfly effect thing, but I’m sure I would have still been at the grocery store, and still gotten it.

For fun…where is the first place you want to go once things are opened back up?: PARIS! We have airline vouchers and airbnbs picked out. It’s the best place I’ve ever been and I can’t wait to go back. Even if it means going with a baby, we are GOING.
