Current Cycle Day: CD28

Ovulation Date and DPO: CD11 (i think I O’d way later though), 17DPO

POAS date: Jan 28th.

Usual Cycle Length: 28-29 days.

Cycles trying: Cycle 13

BD timing: O+1, O+4, O+8 (see what i mean?? late O for sure?!)

Link to Chart: I’m on FF but I couldn’t figure out how to link my chart. Will update when i figure it out!

So I went to POAS at my doc’s office yesterday because I needed to make sure I wasn’t pg before going in for an MRI I had scheduled this Friday. I would have had to get an IV of the contrast dye so had to make sure I wasn’t pg. Funny enough, the MRI was to check if there was a tumor on my pitutary gland due to elevated prolactin levels. I had just talked to my doc about infertility issues earlier this month.

Wellllll…not too long ago, my doc’s RN called me today and gave me the good news we’ve been waiting for a year to hear – I’m PREGNANT!!!!!!!! Laughing

I did have very tender breasts for the past 3-4 days and mild cramping my lower abdomen but I just attributed it to AF making her timely visit. However, I did not get the usual spotting for 3-4 days prior to AF coming…she was due yesterday…so I thought, maybe there’s a chance? She’s usually never late, ya know.

I’m usually just a lurker in here, been lurking during my wedding planning and  during TTC, so I’m happy to share the news with this community. I will continue to pray and keep you all in my thoughts as we go on this journey together!

Also, can’t forget —

@nkaujyi:  Congratulations!  Good thing you had that MRI scheduled, and that they bother to check for pregnancy.  A week before I got my positive I had my teeth cleaned and I was due for x-rays.  The doctor asked if there was a chance I could be pregnant, and there was, since I was in the TWW.  So she opted not to do x-rays at the time.  They’ll be so excited when I have to schedule a cleaning in 3 months instead of 6.  Laughing

@ScottishMrs:  Thanks! You’re always so level-headed and encouraging πŸ™‚ Just what a newbie TTC needs!

My dog barks at a dog who walks past our house (with his owner :)) at the same time every morning, so that is my alarm! It’s fantastic, because I used to have to get up and call him back inside…but the other day I sat DH down and explained how temping works and that I wouldn’t be able to get up to get the dog, so he would have to. He got right on board with it. TTC has all kinds of unexpected advantages Laughing

I don’t think my thermometer is sensitive enough though…it only goes to 1dp. I grabbed it when I went to the pharmacy because I knew AF was on her way and I wanted to start temping on CD1. I have another on order from ebay and it should arrive in the next day or two. Is it bad to change thermometers during a cycle? I figured if it was still quite early (CD3 or 4) that it wouldn’t matter too much because I’d still have a reasonable amount of data with the new thermometer before the expected temp rise on CD 19/20?

@AnnieGrace:  I used a thermometer that went only one decimal point last cycle (ordered it on accident, but the one that went out 2 kept having “favorite” temperatures and it was ticking me off!) and it worked just fine.  I was able to see my shift very clearly.  I love/ed that thermometer! It beeped to let you know it was in the right spot, took a longer time to register a temperature (so I trusted it way more than my first one), it saved my last temp so if I wanted to look at it later I could, and had a backlight to see clearly in the dark.  If you want to use the second one, you are right that it probably won’t hurt anything switching so early in your cycle.  Good luck! πŸ™‚

Good news is that I finally Oed. Bad news is that it looks like I won’t be peeing on any sticks in January. FF has me as 5dpo, but I think I might only be 2dpo. But either way I Oed!! Around CD27, but late is better than nothing!

@ScottishMrs:  i don’t know if you want to roll me over, or just take me off. Up to you! but my POAS date will move out to February.

Good luck to you January girls! Especially the 31st. It’s going to be good luck, I can feel it!!
