Hi everyone, I am beginning my search for the dress and am feeling a little frustrated. I can’t seem to find what I want in one dress, I want to take parts from different dresses and put them all together!
I did try on a Jasmine dress that I liked. I know Jasmine makes temple ready dresses where you can add sleeves or straps to the dresses. I’m just a little nervous about ordering a dress this way as I can’t seem to find any pictures of the sleeves. The website only has sketches of what it will look like.
If anyone out there has a Jasmine dress with sleeves would you mind posting a picture? I think seeing it in real life would help. Thanks!

@Erinmv: Try ladderdaybride’s website. I pasted links below to a Jasmine dress on there with a short sleeve added. (Most of the dresses on that site are altered Jasmine or Casablanca gowns.. maybe you’ll see the one you liked?) Good luck! 🙂

Remember that you can always add a jacket to any dress for the ceremony.
You can also get an overlay made for your dress that raises the neckline and adds sleeves.

Mine actually had sleeves, but they were chopped off in the alterations. They basically looked like t-shirt sleeves made of the same satin the rest of the dress was made of. Nothing wrong with them. In fact I wanted to cover my shoulders. But my seamstress said I’d look much better without them, so off they went. Sorry I have no “before” pictures of the sleeves.

Thanks ladies. I just want a deep v or straps or something other than strapless. I don’t really need it for modesty, more for my own comfort. I wanted to do it through Jasmine because it’s only like $100 for them to make the changes, but it just makes me nervous. Maybe it’s best to just order a jacket or have the seamstress make it after the fact.

@Erinmv: Any seamstress can add cap sleeves to a strapless dress.
