Maybe just wait until you get the Pascua to make the decision. They’re both beautiful dresses, but they are very different styles. Have you tried on the Primor yet? Luckily, you still have quite a bit of time and in 5-6 months, if the Pascua isn’t what you want, you will still have time to order the Primor replica from Jasmine’s. I know it’s hard to wait that long, but that’s what I would recommend!

I wrote a whole post then read back and realized you already bought the first dress. I went and tried on a ballgown after I bought my mermaid too because of dress regret buuuuuttt, after trying on my first choice, I fell in love with her all over again.

Try on your first gown again. I’m sure you’ll be confident with your decision.

In my honest opinion (and again nothing against who likes it!) I would stick with pascua and not even think about Primor.

For me the “feather-like_ detail and tulle screams “SWAN LAKE”… Maybe it is because I did ballet for many years but I have complete aversion to tulle…

@aleksandra.bojeva:  It stinks to wait, but wait until it comes in and try on the original dress again!  The first one is so gorgeous!

@aleksandra.bojeva:  Many of us have dress “regret”…. It is a normal feeling and the wedding dress is the most important dress of your life! But I am sure you will look great in the Pascua dress! Just try to be patient and wait until it arrives!

I am not sure if you were being sarcastic in your response to me but I was just giving you my most honest opinion ๐Ÿ™‚ I do not like feathers not tulle because as I said I was a ballet dancer and every year I wore a long tulle gown in my presentations…

Oh, good! I was really trying to help you and not be mean or anything ๐Ÿ™‚

You will look great in your dress, don’t worry! There is a reason why you said YES to it!

@aleksandra.bojeva:  I have not bought my dress yet BUT I have chosen it! It was the most wonderful moment because I put it on and it brought tears to my eyes! I always thought that “YES, this is my dress” moment was cheesy but I really felt it!

HOWEVER I have an appointment this saturday at another bridal store! Why am I doing it? I don’t know… Maybe because it is good to put on pretty dresses??? BUT I know in my heart which one is the one! But like you I am sure that I will have second thoughts after I put the money down ๐Ÿ™‚ But I think that rationaly it is a super normal feeling: it is a lot of money for something you will always remember ๐Ÿ™‚

I would say: just relax… AND if you are not really happy when it arrives and you try it on THEN think about another dress…

@sheilamelo:  Dont torture yourself for the next few months while you are waiting for the dress you purchased to come in. Call the salon you ordered the dress from and make an appointment to try-on the dress again. Most salons are VERY familiar with the “dress-regret” concept and will allow you to try on your gown as frequently as you need to IF you call and make an appointment (and assuming they havent sold their sample).

I must say that Jasmine Bridal did a great job on that replica.

The Primor is really different from your dress though. I know Primor wouldn’t work for me simply because I tried dozens of A-Lines and ballgowns (I hated mermaids..always thought they looked a bit weird) and I looked like an idiot in all of them. Then I gave up and tried a lace mermaid and it worked (bought that one). So yeah, basically, as beautiful as a dress may look on a picture, it might not be the right one for you!

If you like, you could go try it on – actually why not try them both on and see which one you like better?;)
