@landream:  With that dress, I’d upgrade both fabric and craftsmenship. From all the pictures I’ve seen-it makes a world of difference.

@landream:  +1 for designer grad fabric.  I would also recommend you get Jasmines to send you samples of the material.  It costs to have them send you the samples, but I really think you will get a better result if you see the actual material first.  Then when you get the dress there are no surprises.

Also, if you can afford it, I would also recomment designer grade craftmanship.  Lovely dress and welcome also.

Hey Bees! I’m finally ready to place my order with Jasmine’s but need your help. I fell in love with Courtney Mazza’s second dress (Cameo by Ines Di Santo) and would love to wear it as my reception dress. I was hoping you guys could help me decide the best fabric and craftsmanship grades to use. It’s described as an “Ivory Silk Gazar gown with asymmetrical rouching throughout bodice with delicate Chantilly lace underlay and side slit. Shoulder strap features full organza cluster.”  I was also thinking about strassing the left side of the sweetheart neckline (underneath the shoulder strap) to be more like Courtney’s dress, but I’m not decided. All opinions welcome.

Thanks in advance!

@hiheel:  Still waiting for the tracking number, so I guess sometime next week.

I think your idea of the smaller rhinestones instead of the crystals is just perfect.  Must also say that I love the lace underlay, it is just so beautiful.

@endee:  Welcome.  So many new JBS brides.  It looks like layers of chiffon and organza to me.  James will let you know the best fabric to achieve the look.  The construction is fairly simple so premium should be OK but get the designer fabric so the dress drapes and flows like the original.

Hi Ladies,

After reading all the positive comment I decided to get my dress make by Jasmines.  It is a combination of Provanias Dietrich neckline with Rosa Clare Deilma  and got the mid production pics today.  It seems so different from what I send and appreciate for honest comment on the dress so I can get back to James to fix up the dress.

Thanks bees

@tckn:  If I was just looking at your dress as is, I’d say “wow, it looks gorgeous”. But when comparing it to your inspiration dress, it does look really different to your inspiration dress. Why did they make it with a sweetheart neckline when you’ve asked for it to be straight?

I can’t read what you’ve written/drawn on your mid production pic so I can’t really comment on that…

@babecake:  Do you know what fabric they used for your dress? I ordered fabric samples and they sent me thin and thick organza (Both designer grade). I honestly don’t know which one will be more like the original so I’m thinking I will just tell them I trust their judgement, but I figured I would get another opinion before doing that.

@babecake:  I did asked James to change the neckline into sweetheart shape but somehow the feather are completely missing on the dress.  The runching on the skirt are so different from the inspiration dress.  I put up more pics re my comment on changes.  Sorry for my poor computor skills

@magicmoments:  I did tell them to use Chantilly lace for the dress, chiffon for the runching under the bustline and organza for the skirt.  I have the dress in designer fabric with primium craftmanship.  I have not specify on the thickness of the fabric as I trust their judgement based on all the beautiful dresses on the board posted by other bees
