@Aussiemum:  I would need it to be a wider V shape based on the measurement of my measurement that look best when I tried the dress on.

As for the neckline I need the feathers to be all around the neckline and lace to overlayer the bottom of feather sections as per Dietrich.  I don’t think putting the feather on would be much of the problem…at least James haven’t tell me it is

Hi ladies, I am considering getting a qipao made by jasmine’s and i need your help!  I am only going to wear it for an hour (during cocktail hour), but I may be able to alter it for future use.  This is what I want below:  Do you ladies think its work the designer fabric or craftsmanship upgrades??  Many thanks in advance, these dresses are great!!

@Marquise123:  Love the back detail.  The lace is what makes this dress, designer lace will give you the best result. The style is simple and elegant premium grade craftmanship should be fine.

@tckn:  This is what this post is all about, helping other Bees.  I am sure Babecake and other Bees with more experience than I have will help you out.  The dress is really beautiful, we all have some issues that need resolving at mid-production stage so please don’t be too worried.

@Marquise123:  Agree, designer fabric 100%.  I would ask for samples not only to make sure you like the lace, but also the colour.  Colours look very different on a computer screen compared to real life, so be careful about the colour.

Hello fellow bees!

After all the good reviews of Jasmine’s on the bee forum I decided to try and order a reception dress from them. The Tara Keely tk2210 is the one I’m eyeing.. however they don’t seem to have that on their site. Would that mean it would be difficult for them to recreate since they’ve never tried it? And like the other dresses, I’m guessing it would be good to go for the designer grade for both fabric and craftsmanship?

Here’a a pic!

and the back

Thanks!! ๐Ÿ™‚

@moussy:  They can create any dress if they have good reference photos.  So collect all the images you can find, especially detailed images.

Make sure you get your measurements taken properly and I recommend getting samples sent to you for the lace, or at least photos of the lace so you know exactly what you are getting.

@babecake:  Agree the skirt really needs working on.  But have a look at the model, she must be standing on some sort of platform, no real person can have those proportions.  If the skirt starts at say mid-thigh, the model must have just the longest legs from the knee to the floor.

Then imagine cutting the skirt at sat a 155cm mtr height, you would loose a lot of the layered effect.

Promotion…. lucky girl that will help you pay for the carbon tax!!

@Aussiemum:  Totally agree that the model must be standing on a pedestal. No way can her torso be that short compared to her legs!

Thank you both! I thought they were giving me the choice, and I had no idea which one would be better! Both makes sense though. I think I am going to send in your pictures babecake for the bottom, and some changes to the top. I am so nervous! Not about the quality of the dress really just about getting everything just right and explaining what I want.

Hey guys, guess what?! Got my “first draft” pictures already!! I am SO PUMPED! It looks beautiful, and I only see a few minor changes (which I will email them with soon. I also need to tell them what to do with my birdcage veil, as I’ve had some trouble choosing the fabric colors for my flower (still waffling!)

I only see a few minor changes that are needed, but if you guys want to look closely, my full thread is right here!!
