@Schnurri:  It is beautiful!  I see what you’re talking about with the cape being more see through than on the model.  I also noticed what someone else pointed out about the back of the train looking shorter in one spot but agree it might just be how it’s laying.  Make sure to let us see the final product on you!   Beautiful; thanks for sharing!

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to give a little update about how the dress turned out since I got a couple of messages.

The alterations scared me a little but I think they worked out! I was able to sit and eat πŸ™‚ I had to do some quicky alterations to change the shape of the dress so that it was even more tappered at the thigh. After the expensive alterations (and the seamstress not understanding too well), I enlisted my sister’s help with the rest of the alterations. She had done a quick 1-point bustle for me and also added straps to the inside of the thigh area of the dress to clasp in the front for the mermaid shape. I will have to post pictures of what she did exactly.

The professional pics are on the way but above is a teaser πŸ™‚ Also, check out our teaser video! http://vimeo.com/68464796

When I got home, I had received the $75 refund from James for the missed alterations and our public bickering. That was very nice of him!

My friends and family were STUNNED by the dress! I felt like a mermaid-princess πŸ™‚

@chipsuah:  I will post the professional pics as soon as I have them. Definitely alter because I wanted to stay in the dress as much as possible and even put it back on after my reception dress for the send off! I was able to sit in the limo and get some shots of it. All that stress paid off!

And [email protected] the groomsmen sleeping! He just fallen in bro-love! Not all of the groomsmen knew each other because the groom is in the military. Two of them were his childhood friends and the rest were his military buds. They all got along famously! πŸ™‚

Hi bees,

My dress, sash and veil are almost done.

I can’t help but worry that a couple of things are off.

I fell in love with the MS Karena Royale. The bridal shop here only had a Lorie and said its exactly the same as a Karena Royale so I tried it on and I always wanted a sweetheart neckline so I ordered the Lorie on my order form. In my emails however i call my dress Karena Royale with sweetheart neckline. Mid production pics arrived and I requested for the neckline to be changed to sweetheart. Jasmine’s charged me extra for the neckline alteration because they say that the Karena Royale and Lorie are different dresses — different amount of lace etc.

I agreed to the charge but I’ve got the pictures back and I can’t help but feel the neckline is different. Am I imagining things? Jasmine’s replied saying that its exactly like the Lorie neckline.

I’m also worried that my sash won’t match my dress.

Jasmine’s are currently working on making the flower smaller and fixing the stones on it.

I really hope it looks better with my dress.

Your thoughts? comments??

I think i’m becoming one of those brides that stress about everything considering other planning stuff (non-dress related) aren’t going smoothly either =/

I think the problem you are seeing with your dress is the sweetheart neckline looks a little bit deeper to me. ANd also the lace is not as rounded around the bust line. I terrible with paint but I attatched some pictures to try and explain what I mean. The dress is gorgeous though and I can see what you mean about the belt. Hopefully they can fix it and it will be stunning with your dress. πŸ™‚

@bellavistabride:

thanks for that image. I will actually pass it on to jasmines πŸ™‚

I told jasmines that its deeper and this is the reply I received so I guess I have to try it on and hope its not too deep.

@uphoric:  IMO the neckline looks good and as the bellavistabride suggested that should fix it.

For the sash i honestly dont’ think it goes at all, but  i dont’ like the original sash either. I saw this dress in the store, and the sash is too OTT for my liking, I would just do a straight out rhinestone swatch and take out the gauze/silk whatever fabric rosettes. I think a plain sash is fine, considering the beautiful beading and lace on the dress you don’t need anything extra. Jasmines have done a fantastic job of matching the lace beading to the original!! looks almost exact.!
