@dv3849:

Yes, we always had one for the middle east and Arabic speaking customers – she used to be a customer too!  But now that the Trello board has worked so well for a few months now, I was like hey, why not hire more ex-customers and other bees who are familiar with bridal fashion and our company, and collaborate via Trello?  I think they are much better than the locals here in terms of language and communication ๐Ÿ™‚  2 of them already started serving customers today!

Soon our backlog should be gone, and the good service level we offered last year shall return!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Hi all, I’m getting a fit and flare/mermaidish style reception dress and was wondering you could give me tips on how to measure myself to avoid it being too uncomfortable to sit in.

I know the dress will not be spot on when I receive it but it would be so good to minimise alterations.

Should I be taking extra measurements around the thighs etc?

Hi Everyone,

I’m brand new to this site but I’ve been reading a lot of your last post (previous boards as well) and I have some questions.  I’m getitng married in October and even though I haven’t tried on dresses yet I’m in love with David’s Bridal T3299 posted below.  I want simple elegance for my garden wedding.  I need to expand my horizons beyond DB though if I’m considering ordering a replica.  My questions are:

1) What kind of price difference are you seeing on your dress and is this affected by the complexity of the dress?  For example, lots of lace= 75% of original cost whereas maybe no lace=50% of original?  I know you can’t give Jasmine’s exact price quote and I really like that about them but I’m just curious.

2) Are a lot of you needing additional alterations once you recieve your dress?

3) Has anyone had a bad experience that could have been avoided?  How could I avoid this?

Anything else you think I should know would be great!

hi bees, i went dress shopping today and finally found my dress! i’m ready to ask Jasmine’s to make it, but since I’m in Europe and it’s a European brand- Aire Barcelona Regina, i can’t find anyone on the board having this dress before or one like it! Jasmine’s has it under Aire B.

I’ve asked on the trello board but in the meantime, any of you lovely ladies have even seen a dress like this anywhere on the board or have jasmines made a similar one. I’m worried about the pleated tulle skirt. I’ve asked James for extra pics.

help! dress shopping was kind of upsetting had my heart set on the claire pettibone chantilly or bernadette but they do not suit me as i’m short and curvy. however this dress worked and i loved it

It has a gorgeous lace jacket that i want to wear mostly as sleeves.

have jasmine’s done this? any thoughts welcome, thank you bees!

@penny2013:  thank you so much Penny! you’re an absolute sweetheart for helping me out, I really appreciate it!

it looks great! –opinions? i don’t mind upgrading everything to have it as perfect as possible, i don’t think it’s an overly complex dress like the gemma and others.

@bellasmum I believe I recall someone said somewere in the last boards that, you need to provide extra mesurements depending if you want a body hugging fit specially around the thigh area etc. Perhaps some bees that ordered a fit and flare style might be able to help with this one.

@JasminesBridal. That is great news. Btw. I am spanish speaking, so If you still need a spanish speaking consultant message me ๐Ÿ™‚

@Violette_29

My dress is Aire Barcelona Paisaje – beading is different but I assume that pleated tulle skirt is the same. I think they did amazing job, ladies here said that this skirt works even better than original.

My wedding is this Saturday so I can post you some pictures of the dress (some of them are already posted).

I went with the dress (I lost weight so some alternations had to be done) to the local wedding boutique and they asked me where did I bought this dress, because they said it that it is very lovely and beautiful dress).

If you have any further questions I would be glad to help you. And I am also from Europe ๐Ÿ™‚

So I think I may be abusing this whole Trello thing… lol James (and the new consultants!!!) are going to be sick of me before I even order my dress! (whoops!)

How many emails/messages did you ladies exchange with jasmines before placing an order? I’ve sent 2 emails and 3 solid trello cards (and a half a dozen random little questions under other cards)… I swear I’m not a bridezilla =( And I won’t be a hard customer! I think (or hope) that once I get the dress chosen and all the materials/colours picked it will be smooth sailing.

@TinaTIU:  Thanks so much Tina! firstly congrats on your wedding and all the best for this saturday!wishing you a wonderful wedding and lots of happiness for your special day.

It’s great to hear you are happy with your dress and that they ladies in the shop told you it was beautiful. I was worried about the tulle skirt and if the pleating was close to the original? but above all if you love it that’s what matters.

I would love to see more photos when you have a chance, after your wedding. Aire Barcelona adn Rosa Clara make amazing dresses. I had my heart set on Maggie sottero but when i saw these i was blown away. Our dresses are very similar too.

@dv3849:  Hahahaha I know what you mean… but there is no other way of discussing all the details.. especially if your dress is not that easy so I wouldnt worry. I have asked about the gemma and have recieved 3 sets of pictures and now i am dreaming about the inbal dror… lol…. and i still have 4 months to make up my mind before ordering!!

@dv3849: I know how easy it is to keep asking questions lol…

I have really tried to keep my communication at a minimum so as not to keep James and the consultants tied up with my order, and I had a really clear idea in my head of what I was after before I started the process ๐Ÿ™‚ However with that said, if you need to ask questions for clarification and confirmation of important details on the dress, I think those things are essential and how much you communicate should be deemed ‘as necessary’.
