@swizzles25:  As you are black, I think you could safely go for an inner colour like champagne that could appear nude on a white person, but on you would set off the beading beautifully and work well with your skin tone 🙂 I wanted a champagne dress but I am far too pale, completely washes me out lol

@swizzles25:  Yeah it’s about 2 shades darker than ivory I’d say. That dress is absolutely stunning, by the way!

@swizzles25:  That dress is absolutely everything. EVERYTHING.

@eternalbreanna: You said you emailed Leticia… do you have that email address? I’d like to get a quote on my dress as well.

@vesnushka: Thanks for the link! If they can do that dress… then mine shouldn’t be a problem. It’s similar to @Barbiestylez: J’Atons ballgown skirt. I love it.

@swizzles25:  I agree that champagne underneath would be pretty- help the beading stand out without looking nude on you.

An update from me.

Once I received midproduction pictures, I sent a request to adjust the waist area. I did not like the folds under the waist:

To compare, the original dress (and as I tried it myself, I know for sure there are no folds under the waist):

Today I received an answer from production team:

“There are gathers under the waist for the outside layer of tulle.

So should we proceed to finish up the dress?”

And now I feel pretty bad about the skirt. I am sure that there are no gathers at the waist, and the skirt folds due to the cut (I would assume, flare), and this is what I mentioned in my reply. I don’t know if the skirt can be adjusted without cutting out a new skirt out of fabric.

I’ve chosen this dress for a slim silhouette, and I really don’t want those folds on my waiste, and have the silhoette lost under the fabric.
