@bee1000:  Your dress is amazing. I would never guess it’s a “replica” gown.

@lollieinkansas: Wow, I love the FLUFF of your skirt! I agree that the JBS dress is great quality and has a soft lining…and for us brides who are looking for a color other than white/ivory they can make the dress in just about any color.

These are some really beautiful dresses coming out lately!

I need to get the zipper on my gemma fixed, but I’m thinking of just converting it to lace-up so I don’t have a zipper bust again.

@dv3849:

Thanks! There is a crinoline underneath. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m having second thoughts about using it for my wedding since it’s heavy and makes me very hot…I’m not happy when I’m sweating, and I want to be happy for my wedding, haha.

@nurhogirl:  Thanks! You’re getting similar lace on your dress? Exciting! The one they used was an eyelash lace, and very soft.

Hi everyone,

im new here but thanks to all you ladies I took the plunge and ordered my dress (and veil) froM JBS. Kimmie has been great. I got the ML Emma dress with designer fabric. Has anyone else purchased a replica ML dress from JBS? So anxious to see the final product!!!!

Here’s a picture of the original (hope the photo posts properly)…

Hi, Bees! I’ve just gotten my mid-production pictures in and I need a second opinion as to whether I should do revisions/what I should revise. I am doing an Anna Campbell replica in champagne (designer/designer). Thank you so much in advance!

The original dress:

And these are the mid-production photos:

@chowderbiscuit:  hmm, for designer craftmanship, i personally would definately ask for a few revisions… the biggest thing to me would be the neckline is quite off… Perhaps its just the absence of the scalloping and beading, but it looks different…. Are they adding the scalloping later?

a smaller thing, would be the front of the skirt, the original seems to be slightly more pleated near the middle, whereas the replica isnt.

Also the back gather in the orignal just seems to be a gather of the lace that then flows into the skirt, whereas the replica appears as a tuft of tulle just hanging there limply…

the lace is really pretty though ๐Ÿ™‚

these are just what i see, its still a lovely dress without any of the revisions i mentioned.

what do you think of it?

@dv3849:  I have the same problems with it as you do. The glaring problem to me is how big the cups look. I’m very petite with a 30B cup size and it looks like it’ll overwhelm my upper half. I have drawn up some revisions. Could you look at them and tell me what you think before I send them in? I just want to make sure I haven’t missed anything.

@chowderbiscuit:  First of all, I LOVE your inspiration dress! Never tried it on, but spent many minutes drooling over it on pinterest. ๐Ÿ™‚

That being said, I just wanted to point out one thing about your notes:

Don’t worry about the beading. They don’t do that until you approve the midproduction photos — the dress probably isn’t even sewn together yet — they have just pinned it to the mannequin. (Speaking of which, it looks like it’s on a child mannequin, which might be why they have that hanger holding the straps up, and why they look so long.)

Once you approve what they have done so far, they’ll move on to the details like beading.

@lulu3535:  thank you so much, that makes me feel much better about it. I was just worried because I am used to seeing pins on other mid-production dresses with all over beading.

@chowderbiscuit:  Wow your dress is so pretty! Love the lace! You must be really petite!

I see 2 if my dresses in the background. Looks like they haven’t started revision on my dress ๐Ÿ™
