Kimmie has updated me with a new set of pics! Though I had requested for a full length pic, but I couldn’t wait to show you the pics I had received. Basically the only changes I had asked is the shape of the neckline and more laces to the skirt. They did it beautifully and I’m very please with it. Here are the pics:

About the poof at the top of the skirt, I’d figured that I’ll wait to see it after the beadings are done. Hopefully some of the weight will tone it down. Then maybe some steaming will help. I had come to realise that some of the issues are not worth the stress. It may not be 100% as the original but at least from what I can see now it is at 98%

And to Kimmie’s defense, by no means I’m trying to deliver a msg that she’s not good at her job. Just that she’s not station at the site, there are some issues that she was not able to resolve as quickly and easily as James. From my point to decide to go to James for some clarifications is to not push her too hard on some issues that might be entirely impossible for the production team. I felt that it’s unfair to stress her further if the fault wasn’t at her side in the first place. Nonetheless, Kimmie has been very fast in responses and tried to be as detail as she can be. She has greatly help JBS a lot in making impatient brides-to-be like myself to feel comfortable and secure by updating time to time while waiting for our dresses to be done

Oh my God, Bees!!!! Look what I found!!!!!! Now I know why wasn’t I happy neither with 71 (too light) nor with 78 (too yellow). They were both wrong.

I just found a zip with Jasmine’s “Silky satin swatches” and I am absolutely in love with number 20!!! It is my perfect nude. Creamy and flattering. It maches the original 100% (I inlarged all pictures I have πŸ™‚

I am soooooooo happy! I just hope Jasmine’s can do it with silky satin. I’ve emailed Liza, my consultant, who is a dream, I hope she’ll help. What do you all think??? How do you like the colour?

@ChristinaBride:  Did you order samples to be delivered to you? I have heard from other bees that the colour can be very different in person. Or maybe you can ask Lisa to have the photos taken in different lightings? Swatch#20 does look very close to the colour of the original. Good luck!! πŸ™‚

@lisa_may: Thanks! I think I’ll risk and just confurm the colour. All other swatches look very different from the original, and this one is the closest I could find. I am sure, it’ll be nice anyways πŸ™‚ Your dress is stunning!

OK, here are some crappy cellphone pics of my dress. Colours not very true to life, I love the colours in person! Also, posting this on my phone and the pics/ text are all over the place because wb’s upload function is a bit stink on a mobile browser.

Taken in low light, using a small mirror, in our spare room which is filled with renovation junk and clothes. Sorry bout that :p

As you can see I’ve got that bunching around the front of the hips other people have said. I also think it sits kind of not right around my bust. I’ve ordered some rago though, and will be getting a bustier, and am hoping that will help a bit. I’m not wearing any shapewear in the pix. I plan on adding a sash too (waay more flattering with one, forgot to get a pic but it is), will have a lace bolero, and will have the modesty panel in the corset. I couldn’t be bothered getting it in for a try on. Lacing myself into that thing is a mission enough. This is only my 4th time trying it on because it’s such a hassle. I’ve gotten quite good at it as a result :p

Ugh, that post is full of mistakes. I’m not going to go back and fix it because I know the formatting will get all messed up and it’s too much of a pain to fix on my phone. You get the idea anyway. Here’s another pic for funsies.

@cherryshake:  I always would like to know what people like you think they gain from this type of post.  You sound angry and looking for attention for someone to say something to you but it is 2014,  find something positive to do with the new year.

If you dont have something positive to say go away and find somewhere else that shares your your feelings.

@ChristinaBride:  I must have looked for a month to find the right shade of color for my dress, I know that it is hard.  Someone who tried on the origional dress you plan to have made said that it is closser to 71, do you have time to order a few shades of the color you’re looking for from JB?

@punchy:  pretty pretty dress. Is this the dress with the kinda ombré pink tulle at the bottom? Also, if you don’t mind me asking. What size are you? trying to see if this kind of dress would work for my body type

@lisa_may:  I’m so glad you were able to communicate with them what you wanted and got it fixed! πŸ™‚

@punchy:  I’ve been waiting to see pics of the dress on you!!! It looks great and def shows your figure off! πŸ˜€ It does look a bit loose around the bust. With the lines across the mid-section does it seem like it’s excess materials that is doing that or the pull of the fabric or something else? I’m just curious! Thanks for sharing!!! πŸ™‚ I would love to see the dress on in daylight/natural light to see the pretty pink ombre! πŸ˜‰

I recieved my dress jacket this week from Jasmine’s and wanted to share! I’ve been following here for awhile and just decided to go for it. I ordered 10/30, and would have got it sooner but had one minor revision. The orginal design was discontinued awhile ago, so I don’t have to original to compare but I love it! I will say I messed up on the sleeve circumference measurement, but it’s totally fixable and I have 3 months to tone up a little too.

@shningdrgn:  Wow that’s very unique for this thread, since it’s been mostly traditional bridal gowns! πŸ™‚ Looks great! What will you be wearing this for?

@TessaZ:  I’ll be wearing for the ceremony, I have a traditional white dress to wear under it as well, for which I can take this off for the reception later. I really wanted a black and white dress but couldn’t find something I really liked on, so went the alternate route.
