@shningdrgn:  Oh what a great alternative! It will look beautiful! Just curious what will the dress under it look like? I have never seen this done before! I would love to see you with the dress and this jacket on to get a better mental image! πŸ™‚

@cherryshake:  Oh yes wedding dress piracy is soo terrible – because established designers never steal/copy/imitate each other’s designs right? *eye roll*

@punchy:  Definitely get the modesty panel and while I can see the bunching at the front that you’re referring to, it’s not the first thing I notice and that is how gorgeous you look in that dress. It really flatters and hugs your figure and I can’t wait to see pics of your wedding if you do end up posting them on the Bee Smile

For those bees who followed the Claire Pettibone Lace Robe replica from JBS πŸ™‚ Bridal Boudoir Shoot from Dahlia Couture Glamour.

I like it even better than the 3,000 dollar original because of the extra lace on the bottom πŸ™‚

I used my Inbal Dror Replica for the Reception so I’ll post those pics when I get them back in a few weeks!

@Jams_:  thanks πŸ™‚ yeah, this one has the pinky tulle at the bottom. I’m an nz 12 on bottom and a 10 on top. Sometimes wear 8 in dresses. As you can see I’m pretty curvy so it makes normal sizing a pain in the bum. I have a 37″ bust, 27″ waist, and 40″ hips if that helps. Once upon a time I was a perfect 36″ 24″ 36″ πŸ™ Of course, I was also a teenager then :-p

@TessaZ:  thanks πŸ˜€ I think the problem is it’s a bit tight around my hips/bum and the dress is riding up a bit causing the crease. I’ve got some shapewear in the post and am dieting/exercising my butt off (Christmas/new year break didn’t help…), so hopefully all will be well. The bit that’s tight is just below where the corset ends so unfortunately loosening that off doesn’t help much.

@Miss Circe:  Aw thanks πŸ˜€ lol, no question about the modesty panel, I have it and will wear it on the day, I just couldn’t be arsed snapping it in on my own. Extended family and in laws don’t need to see my bumbum. I’m not totally sure I would gave gone for this style (because it’s more effort than an a-line on my part) but I asked my partner what he wanted to see me in and he said something that shows off my figure. Hopefully he’ll like it then πŸ™‚

Edit: one more pic (hope this works alright)

@bee1000:  :You look beautiful! How much did the replica cost?

@PurpleButton:  From Jasmine’s it was around $180 I think but I provided my own lace (which was the original lace from France so it was crazy expensive) All together the robe cost me around $800.00 but I love it and it was worth it to me to get the original lace and $800 is a lot cheaper than 3k so I was fine with it.  Plus I had extra lace leftover to make a matching bra and panty set and still more that I’m unsure what to do with now…haha.

@punchy:  You look great! The dress shows your curves in the best possible way. I also have hips, so I agree with you – the dress will fit much better with some correction in the hip area (a few pounds off or even shapewear alone may do the trick!). Can I ask you about the corsette: did you specifically ask for no modesty panel or it was on the original dress? The thing is, my inspiration dress has a zipper and I asked for a corsette back. Now I wonder if I should specifically ask for a panel as I assumed it is by default.

@vesnushka:  the dress came with a modesty panel by default πŸ™‚ I just don’t have it in in the pics. I’ll be wearing it on the day for sure, no butcrack parade at my wedding :p

@punchy:  I had that same crease over my pelvic area for my Pronovias dress. I took it to a seamstress and the problem was the inner lining was too tight.  Once she let the inner lining out a bit, the crease was gone.  Beautiful dress!

@bee1000:   I think that might be the fix for mine too – I’ve got a little bit of time and a few kg I could stand to lose anyway, so my first approach will be trying to slim down a bit, but if it’s still tight a month before I might go down the same route as you. there are heaps of layers so I’m sure something could be done. if I pull down the outer layer it sits perfectly, but as soon as I move it bunches up again.
