@lh526:  I think the takaway point is that anyone thinking about going this route needs to keep their expectations in check given the contraints ( communication barriers, working off photos only, no fittings, etc.). Which I believe is very fair.

Of course anyone can pay cost and an expert local dress maker for alterations therefore ensuring your “vision” is met. But if you choose to save money with Jasmines, keep expectations in check.

I think this thread is very valuable, and I hope it stays.  I actually suggested both Jasmines and Dressilyme to a friend who’s getting married next April, based on both her budget and the reviews that I’ve seen here.  I understand that with so many dresses, they’re never going to have 100% client satisfaction – no one does.  My concern would be how they handle the problems.

@jeni.deidre:

I believe this post has been set up to serve your own agenda, no matter how you word or whitewash it.

Setting up your own rules as to who can and cannot comment, last I checked everyone is allowed to comment on threads. as long as the comments don’t break the board rules.

 -No one is allowed to defend JBS and on the other hand no is allowed to criticize China replica companies.  The only comments welcomed are those that criticize JBS?

Weddingbee has Moderators and it’s not the role of the OP to moderate comments that differ from their own.

I personally think it should well within the OPs right to request posts stay on topic. If this were any other place that wasn’t so well known on the bee, there wouldn’t be such commotion. People complain about vendors, stores, etc all the time. It seems the OP has no hard feelings towards them (unless I am reading it wrong) and thought it may be helpful for others out there.

I want to speak in support of OP for making this thread.  I believe she is geniunely trying to help other brides to find the right vendor to serve their needs, and avoid disappointments.  And our company want this thread to stay and thrive, because we want people to have realistic expectations with their dress making projects when they come to us.  It costs us so much more financially and stress-wise everytime we serve a “bridezilla”, and it is bad for the customer too.

We don’t need nor do we want a perfect reputation.  When a customer has unrealistic expectations and complain, that is fine with us because after all people get what they pay for; but when a customer has reasonable expectations which is within our service scope, and complain, then we need take care of it ASAP.

JasminesBridal :  I have been trying to learn the REAL status of my dress for about a week now. I was supposed to get mid-production photos on July 7, and I have been told three times since then that my photos will be ready “within 24 hours”. I have absolutely no problem if you guys are delayed with making my dress. Simply communicate honestly to me that there is a delay! I would appreciate the truthfulness. I have a huge problem with repeatedly being lied to and told it is almost done when it is not. Please PM me for more details so we can resolve this. Thank you!
