@Varanasea:  that is the best replica dress i’ve seen thusfar.  i am impressed.  beautiful choice.  curious to know price of how much it costs to get a dress like this made?  i’ve never commented on any of these Jasmine Bridal posts, but thought I’d tell you how pretty your dress is.  Want to see final product!

@imnotorange:  Thank you! I dont know if its ok to state costs here (hope my acc doesnt get banned or something!) but mine was $472 (without shipping). I got a 10% discount for taking away the train. And I paid 30% more for designer material, which judging from the photos, seems to have been a good decision.

The dress is even cheaper on their website now because of the 20% discount they are offering on all dresses. I thought i would post pictures of myself in the dress when I get it cos I always wanna see brides in their Jasmine dresses but there doesnt seem to be enough of those photos.

I get the sense that since Jasmine’s has changed some of their policys, brides have been continuously bashing and accusing others every time they say something percieved as negative against JBS like wanting to change their dress because straps were forgotten or because the bustline was uneven or because it wasn’t quite like what their instructions entailed…others are getting bashed for posting that they are stressed because they haven’t recieved their dress yet…or didn’t recieve their veil or belt, etc……STOP THE BASHING!  Ladies have enough stress about the biggest day of their lives and the Bee is here to HELP ladies rant if they want or get honest opinions about things….it’s also here to give HONEST OPINIONS on vendors…I keep looking at so many accusatory posts about picky brides ruining it or rush brides ruining it…how about looking at the big pictures….we are all about to marry the most amazing men and want to look as amazing as possible and we are all here to help each other and support each other through that ๐Ÿ™‚  For all the bees who DON’T have dresses in production yet and keep saying how many of us that do have ruined things for you due to the change in policy….keep in mind that its not exactly that picky brides have forced JBS to stop making dresses but from a business standpoint they just don’t make as much money for them to make all these customized dresses for single brides as they do from mass orders from bridal shops.  At the end of the day, it’s business and I applaud JBS for doing what they need to do to keep themselves and their bottom line happy.

Have any of you guys sent money via bank transfer? Have you guys had any problems sending through western union? I’m getting ready to order within the next 2 weeks, I received my quote yesterday (YAY EXCITED) just wondering what worked best for you ladies.

@Varanasea:  yes, please do post photos of yourself in dress! I intend to. I also agree not many seem to do that, which is such a shame to me!

Hi guys… have been following this thread for a very veery long time now. Just wanted to say this… we all want to look our best on our wedding day and we get stressed or frustrated so we need a place to say it.

When you buy a dress, you know what faults come with it… When you order a dress, you have a vision and want that vision. Some people are lucky to get theirs right at the go, and others arent so lucky. Sometimes Jasmine is at fault, sometimes we the brides are at fault. So please… if a bride says something horrible, give constructive criticism. Most people respond to positive crticisim  than harsh statments and will learn from that.

And YES TO MORE PICTURES PLEASE… They are all beautiful. And please don’t stop mid production pictures ever!!!… Thats what makes JASMINE SO SPECIAL!!

@swizzles25:  +1 to both of you ๐Ÿ™‚

Jasmines is a business, they can (and probably welcome) contructive critism of their work and business practices, they can use that feedback to continue improving over time. There’s a reason they are the best. And because they are a business, they probably aren’t swayed all that much by drama here, they are swayed by economics.

Its more “extra revisions cost more money” rather than “oh a picky bride hurt my feelings, so we wont make dresses for picky brides any more!!”

Anyway, my dress went into production a week ago, so sometime I’ll keep you guys updated with midpro pics. I squeaked in right before that deadline phew! ๐Ÿ™‚

Several months ago when I order fabric samples for a blush color I used WU online with no troubles. Recently when I ordered more samples WU wouldn’t complete my transaction online and I had to call. They asked if it was for a purchase and I said yes (I didn’t know I would have to be ready to lie or fabricate a story) so they cancelled my transfer and said they wouldn’t do it.

I decided to transfer money via Bank of America (which JBS only suggests bank transfer if you have BoA b/c of fees). It was really really easy and immediate. I feel like it’s even less security for us the customer sending via bank transfer, but I have confidence in JBS.

@ralessio:  So strange that wu is being like this lately. I can’t believe they refused to send your payment.
