@NJatTheDisco:  Has this rule been applied yet? I just made my deposit for my reception dress, everything premium since I upgraded to designer on my main dress :(. Still waiting for my bridesmaids dress quote premium too 🙁

@dv3849:  Just to clarify on premium grade there will be no photos provided even when the dress is complete prior to shipping?

@Barbiestylez:  I didn’t see her in real life, but a close up picture of the dress bodice.

@dv3849:  The dresses are usually just pinned together, not sewn, for the midproduction photos. So they’re not hung up (and that seems to be one of the frustrations that Jasmine’s workers are having – moving around and photographing dresses which are merely pinned together). Sorry to dash your hopes Frown

@bee1000:  Yes, you posted designer satin, which is the same fabric samples I have. I have every sample there except #60 and I can see why you thought #58 was nude. But the actual colors, except maybe #71, don’t really look like they do above.

We didn’t end up choosing satin for my daughter’s dress, not because of the colors but because the dresses she was interested in were all close fitting and required a much thicker grade of satin than Jasmine’s offers. She ended up ordering a dress made of a specific silk organza which only comes in white or off-white. But she did order her sash in #62 because it was the closest to the blush pink she likes. I would say that #58 is the other color close to a blush. The difference is that #62 is a bit more pinky and #58 is a bit more peachy. I hope that helps!

@AngE0522: When I ordered the samples I ordered 78 and 90. When I recieved them there was one piece of fabric with both numbers on it…I was a little confused. James told me that they were actually the same fabric and they accidently doubled (put it as 78 and 90) on the orgaanza swatch board.

Thank you so much! This may be asking waaaay too much but would you mind posting a photo of all those samples (particularly 58 62 and 70, 78)? i totally understand if that’s too much of a hassle! Thanks again for your help!

@hiheel:  That’s how I understood it – no pictures at all for premium, whereas the designer grade gets mid and final. I could be wrong though

Honestly had they introduced this whole no pics thing 10 weeks ago, I probably would have taken advantage of it. I have no hesitation with them making my dress, and have absolutely no intentions of any changes. Plus the whole 20% off and 2 weeks earlier delivery would be devine =)

@VeryHappyMom:  My dress doesn’t have lace, beading or appliques so I don’t know what they would be pinning on it lol hopefully its not just pinned together after 10 weeks lol

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking on all the JBS threads and I was really excited about ordering from them! I saw that some other people had mixed and matched dress bodices with bottoms, and wanted to do the same. I emailed Kimmi and got the following back:

“Sorry but we changed our policy recentyly, due to such picky brides, we are no longer accepting customizations as what you are wanting. It will have to have no changes to the dress. Thanks for understanding!”

I’m really disappointed about the no customization part, but the “such picky brides” part also really worried me. Who are these “such picky brides” (and was I supposedly one of them?) and what made them too picky? I’m not sure about going with JBS anymore, feeling really disappointed 🙁

Has anyone else gotten a similar response back/ know when this policy was insituted?
