@nephthys:  In any case, don’t lose hope. I’m sure there is a seamstress near you who could fix it easily. People alter straight dresses to sweetheart all of the time, so I’d imagine it would be pretty easy to deepen or straighten an existing neckline. Regardless, it will be beautiful.

@nephthys:  i dont see a difference in the shape, what i do see however is a significant differnce in breast height. Look how much longer her straps are than yours, the peak of her sweetheart is obviosuly going to be lower. If you want the same look, ask them to lengthen the straps. But chances are when you get the dress itll have to be shortened again to fit you properly.

@anonyluv:  Ask them to use their own crystals.  I actually compared them and the difference is so slight that it is not worth the expense.

When I went to a swarovski supplier they thought they were swarovskis,

@nephthys:  The neck line is almost identical the main difference I see is the placement of the lace.

The other thing to take into consideration is the nipple to nipple and bust height measurement.  Your measurements may be closer together even if you have the same bust measurement.

@nephthys:

Honestly, I think yours looks great.  I think it would be safer for a local seamstress to adjust the neckline.  You will fill out the dress better than the mannequin can, and you can make judgments based on how the dress looks on YOU rather than how it looks on a generic dress form.

@dv3849:  Yup I have asked them to lengthen the straps 3 times too…and somehow that change is never reflected.

@hiheel:  Really? I don’t know why I just don’t see it. @[email protected]

@nephthys:  your dress seems to have more pins along the neckline than the other one, that could make a slight difference in the look and also the straps seem shorter in yours…. Other than that I dont see anything major. I think your dress is gorgeous and most likely will not be exact because of measurments. Even if both dresses are size 2s they can be completely different based on body shapes. I wouldn’t stress I’m sure it will be amazing when finished.

@nephthys:  it seems like the difference is in measurements… Even though your both a size 2 doesn’t mean your stature or shape is the same… Honestly it still looks lovely it is hard for them to replicate another persons dress, just continue to specify what your looking for and hopefully it will work out. Otherwise take it to a seamstress. be positive it can be fixed don’t stress

@nephthys:   to me your dress looks perfectly fine. Low backs are tricky, they often only look good on a person, not on a dress dummy, and definitely not on a hanger. I second the suggestion to have a local seamstress handle it if you need to.

@nephthys:  In all honesty I think your dress looks perfect, even the neckline. Even though your’s and the other bee’s dresses are both size 2 is ti possible that you are shorter? This might be why the straps are shorter on your and being on the same manequin it looks different. If they don’t fix it (if it needs fixing) it may be ust a matter of making the straps longer, which could be done locally when you have the dress.

I’ve decided not to buy my dress from Jasmine’s Bridal Shop, I was only doing it before because someone told me that it takes 11 months to get a dress from David’s bridal UK, it turns out that it will only take until Xmas if I order now, so I have loads of time to order. So David’s bridal is where I’m getting my dress from.

Mid productions are in! Let me first start by saying the dress looks HUGE lol I am not a skinny mini at all (street size US 16/18) but the dress in on a 24 mannequin!! That freaks me out just a tad. I do have a big butt and big hip and big tatas but it just looks REALLY big. Anyhow. I need expert eyes. The only think I noticed is I think it starts to flare to high up (if that makes sense) I think the mermaid should have started a bit lower also I can’t see any sparkle. Do they add that last or am I just blind. What do you ladies think?

Here is the original on a size skinny model 🙂

and here is MINE!!! 🙂

@jigga143:  oh its lovely! I actually like where it flares out, i think its more porportional. Alot of times brides order dresses and then have them hemmed significantly so they loose alot of their flare and just look like a poodles ankles, yours is lovely though.

dont worry about the number on the mannikin. As im sure anne marie can attest, you would prefer too big over too small :p

the beading will come later. They just did lace placement right now. the lace isnt sewn on yet, so after that, they will add your sparkle.

i suck at negatively criticizing dresses, i think they’re all just so beautiful lol sorry!
