@nephthys I was thinking that it might be just the angle of the camera? your dress was taken in a lower angle. Otherwise, I’m sure your seamstress can easily make it the way you want it when the dress is on you 🙂

I am excited to have submitted a second quote request to Jasmine’s for 2 dresses I saw on their blog. After showing my fiancee the first dress I loved she said it was absolutely hideous and I already received a quote from JBS (Liza). Soooooooooooooo back to the drawing board and I have decided to stop showing pictures and just let it be a surprise! I see all the lovely work Jasmine’s has done for quite a few ladies on here. I just hope I will have the same success!

ETA: For those who have ordered lace dresses from Jasmine’s – do they have samples of lace to select from? I’m more than willing to pay for the samples because I’d really like to see the lace first hand.

@anonyluv:  Yup. I just read that on their website and the trello board. This is a bummer because I wanted to see the different type I can order but they are pretty good at matching things up so I wont fret too much over this!

Does anyone happen to know whe their “busy” season is? I ask because I read they dont do alterations/custom gowns during this time. My wedding is in May 2014 and there are some drastic changes I’d like to make to the original design but dont know if its possible given what I read.

@CocoClassic:  pretty mich now until June is their busy season. They normally slow down June – September, it just didnt really happen this year. Definately get your request in ASAP as their super rediculously busy season starts in Nov, and then they take a month off for chinese new years, so it just gets mental at that point.

Hi ladies!!!! I am a veteran bee who created a new account just for this board because I am now working with JBS.  I have read and understand the rules of the board and I am just hear to pass on information to people and hopefully help ease some minds about new policies and things.  I’m loving all the pics being posted and can not wait to see some of these dresses once they are all finished.  Good luck to everyone and I look forward to working with some of you!!!

@dv3849:  thank you very much for your input. I received a surprisingly fast response from Kimmie but it was to tell me to stick with Liza since she provided my initial quote lol. I’m hoping to have the quote back to me by the end of next week. That way I will know for sure if this is the route I would like to go after my 2 dress appointments this Friday. The thought of having a custom made dress is exciting and for it to be within budget would be phenomenal!!!!

Here is the dress I want to have made but with a few changes.

Remove the belt and deepen the V about 5-6 inches and insert a sheer lace or illusion mesh panel.

Make the back more sheer by making the scoop much deeper at the bottom and run the fabric covered buttons all the way down the dress.

I also inquired if a back like this was doable as it would show off my full back tattoo. Another bee posted this picture and I thought it was gorgeous so I said what the hell! Doesnt hurt to ask!

@jigga143:  It looks very pretty, I tried that dress on and it does flare out at the knee and I am 5 1/2 feet tall in a size 10 with big butt and boobs.  I asked for dresses that flared at the knee and that one was picked for that prupose.  I would check size with JB and also it might just be the fact that it is not on a person why it looks so much bigger, it would fit you in the right way.  thank you for posting you pic that is one of my fav dress
