So, after viciously stalking my tracking number for about 4 days, my veil got delivered yesterday!! I locked myself in my bedroom and threatened my Fiance with his life so he would stay out (just kidding, but seriously). After carefully unfolding the veil (which was impossible to refold so neatly) and spreading it across my bed I proceeded to inspect it and bask in it’s glory. Well…here it is!
The following pictures are taken from my iPhone, without the flash.
The following pictures were taken with the flash in an attempt to show some of the sparkle
Now, for the one, and only, thing I found wrong. This veil is gorgeous, the beading is amazing, but the edge was cut a little sloppy in a few places. Not sure if this would have been different if I had opted for “designer grade craftmanship” but it’s honestly not a huge deal. I can easily trim the very few places that aren’t cut evenly. (I want to note that this picture is of the worst “problem area” I found. Most others were very very small)
The only other thing I will note is that the beads are not sewn on individually. They are sewn on in strings of very thin, clear “thread” (it’s more like super duper thin fishing line type thread). Now, this is not a problem for me since my wedding is indoors and the aisle is smooth. If it were to be dragged through grass or any rough texture I’m not sure how well it would do.
Anyways, I seriously can’t wait until I can try it on with my dress and once again marvel at its beauty (it’s tucked away somewhere safe for now)

Gorgeous veil. They did a good job. It is hard as hell to cut tulle! The sparkle is awesome too! Can’t wait to see it with the dress.

@IzzyBear: Again, wooooooooooow!! I love it, it’s so so sparkly, can’t even imagine what it’ll look like in real life! When it’s laid out and when you’re walking down the aisle I doubt the uneven cut would even be noticable. Imagine how long it would have taken if the beads had to be sewn on individually! gosh! lol!
Btw I think after your wedding you should keep it up on display over your bed, it looks great over it! lol!

@happylizzle: Thank you! I love it and my mom was raving about it just by seeing pictures. I doubt the uneven parts will be noticable either, I’ll probably just trim a few of them because I’m a little OCD haha. And I have no idea how to store it after the wedding. I think a month or so before the wedding I’m going to take it to my dads and lay it across one of his spare beds to get the wrinkles out.

I like the sparkle and it should be easy enough to fix the tulle. =)

Holy cow, that is INCREDIBLE! I don’t think anyone but you will ever notice that little imperfection in the tulle!
Do you mind telling me how much you paid for it? I’ll bet it was a steal!

@IzzyBear: I’m not suprised your mum was raving about it just from seeing the pics, seriously amazing! Careful with the trimming! It’s great that you’ve got somewhere to spread it out to let the wrinkles drop out naturally. I’m still trying to figure out where I can store my dress when it comes! lol!

Very pretty! Bummer about the sloppy edges. I am sure you can trim it up 🙂

I hung my veil like that the day of my wedding (on the hotel bed in my moms room!) and just used a small hand steamer to get the few wrinkles out. It worked great!

@IzzyBear: This. Is. Beautiful. Would you mind sending me a PM about price, etc? This is absolutely what I’m looking for and the bridal shops in my area are charging over $800 for it. I’m so in love with your veil!
