I was in a wedding there last month.  The food was very good (the cocktail hour fare was the best I’ve ever had at a wedding).  It was very formal –people opening doors for the guests, someone w/a bell announcing the start of the reception, so it definitely felt like it was an expensive wedding:)

My sister had her wedding there 2 years ago – I wasn’t that involved with the planning, but I don’t remember hearing of any problems and the day of was beautiful. It was perfect for a very formal black tie event, the florr to ceiling window reception room is beautiful at night.

I highly do not recommend having your wedding at Jasna unless the current lady who is in charges of Weddings is no longer with the club. She is impossible to get in touch with and is pretty rude even on the day of the wedding. I’ve known several people to have weddings there and they were not impressed with her service. The actual wedding was beautiful and the staff did a great job but she was horrible to deal with.

The Jasna Polana is a private golf club and you must either be a member or be recommended by a member to host an event there.  I have gone to a wedding there (in 2005) and it was amazingly beautiful.  The mansion, the grounds, the catering…everything was impressive and beautiful!

If they’re publicly promoting their wedding services, I don’t necessarily think that you must be a member/know someone. I don’t know about Jasna Polana, but some private clubs’ event coordinators will arrange for an existing member to be the sponsor.

I am considering Jasna Polana. I just received an email stating that Deborah Lynch of the Mattison Network is overseeing the booking of weddings there.  I had a great conversation with her and she was extremely helpful.  It is such a beautiful location and they are opening it up for weddings to non-members thru the Mattison Network.  It’s a membership club and booking with Deborah seems the way to go.

It’s highly expensive.  I called up there when starting the venue shopping process.  I think they were asking around $300/pp.
