Are you set on “Candyman” for the cake cutting?  I might change that to “Sugartown” by Nancy Sinatra.  It’s not a jazz song, but it’s a little closer to the right era.

For an upbeat entrance song, “Good Morning Life” by Dean Martin might be a good one.  If you don’t mind something without any lyrics, there are a ton of great instrumentals by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

“Jump in the Line” by Harry Belafonte would be a fun one for the bridal party dance.  Lots of people like Frank Sinatra’s “Theme from New York, New York” for that, too.

Other ideas:

“I’ve Got the World on a String”

“I Get a Kick Out of You”

“It’s Only a Paper Moon”

“Blue Skies (Smiling at Me)”

“It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)”

“Standing on the Corner (Watching All the Girls Go By)”

Anything from Dinah Washinton.  “Relax Max” and “Destination Moon” are a ton of fun.

I would also look in to the Verve Remixed albums if you’d like to hear some of these old jazz standards with dance/techno remixes.  Those might be fun to throw in the roatation toward the end of the night.

@futuremrste:  You’re quite welcome.  I love this kind of music and look forward to hearing what you selected!
