My dear fiance had bought my ring from jcp after mall shopping an entire Sunday the week before Christmas. He had planned to pop the question on the 24th, our anniversary, but couldn’t wait and proposed on the 22nd. I love the ring it’s to my taste perfectly and I’m glad he didn’t break the bank with it and instead splurged on his daughter for Christmas.
The ring is very beautiful, but it came in a stock size seven, and I’m a 4.5. He told me he knew that, but he didn’t want to wait and miss the perfect day by having it ordered in my size.
So we went to Kay’s and had one of those metal things put on to make it to a five.
That led a short life as it was digging into my finger and had nicked my ring.
So my poor ring sat unworn for many months because I soon found out I was pregnant and Fiance wanted to wait til after the baby to have it sized.
Seeing as I’m 10 weeks away and not much apparent change in my fingers I had convinced him to take me to get it sized.
They quoted 7-10 days, and I figured in leeway for the holiday even though it was handed over the week before.
We went there today, to question why we haven’t received a phone call yet and the lady looked in the back and had to get the manager because they couldn’t find my ring.
Cue pregnancy hormones and my Fiance calmly wanting an explanation. After her disappearing again to the back she came out and handed us our lifetime card with receipts back. Apparently the guy that took the jewelry that day didn’t send ours out until a week after (why?), on the Tuesday following the holiday weekend. Even though he told us it would be in the vault and picked up the next day by the jeweler. So it *should* be back this Tuesday *at the earliest* mayyybbeee?
Good job with customer service JCP.
Anyone care to share there horror stories/annoying mishaps from the jewellers?
