I’d like to know too! Anyone?

I recently tried on my Karlie ball gown for the first time!

It fits true to size and the fabric is gorgeous. It is a soft and warm shade of ivory and has a beautiful subtle sheen. It photographs as more white for some reason, but the color is really warm. It will go beautifully with either silver or gold accessories.

The fabric is very light, yet structured, and it’s not a super-crinkly, knotty type of dupioni. It actually looks more like a cross between dupioni and shantung, because although the fabric does have those little “knots” that are characteristic of dupioni, it is very subtle, and the fabric is overall quite creamy and smooth.

The bodice: There is some boning in the waist that I don’t like too much, but that can be removed easily. The reason I don’t like it so much is that it makes my waist look too straight and boxy, if you get what I mean. I would like the waistline to curve slightly, or just hug the waist more naturally. Also the buttons! They are beautiful, but they were quite difficult to get through the tiny button loops.

The skirt: There’s layers of tulle and other fabrics inside. The modest, simple look of the bodice goes so well with this big skirt! It’s not huge and poofy, and it doesn’t have a train. But it does fall very gracefully from all those pleatings at the waist.

Hope this helps!
