Sorry for the link but here it goes. This is my bridesmaid dress, the J.Crew Sophia dress in Spiced Wine, which in person looks very much like purple. http://www.jcrew.com/browse/popup_single_product_detail.jsp?jproduct=96454&imgSrc=http://images.jcrew.com/erez4/erez?src=images/eiec/96/96454/96454_PR5941.tif&tmp=prdDtIm&isFeatureColor=true’ defer=’defer
Since my wedding is Sept 24, 2011 I know it can be chilly so I was looking for a cover up. A cardigan seems too stuffy and I know the wrap can be overdone, but who doesn’t like a good wrap? Now, I need help to decide on what color! My dress is ivory and my colors purple, brown, green and cream. The girls will be wearing shoes in a bone color.
The wrap colors:
Help! : )

I would guess plum or eggplant. For that pirce I why not order a few different shades to experiment with. The colors are always different in person and different in different kind of lighting too (daylight, florescent, incandescent, etc). By the way, I ordered for my girls from this Amazon seller. Notice how different the swatch looks than the photos on the model! The swatch was more accurate: http://www.amazon.com/SCARVES-EGG-PASHMINA-Cashmere-Pashmina-Group/dp/B0013FL5IM/ref=sr_1_2?m=ANFXR4C319D3I&s=apparel&qlEnable=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1302005028&sr=1-2&searchContext=B000Z4EBWE,B0013FL5IM,B00139YCGU,B000RFR0YC,B0006TNPBQ,B0013VC6OS,B0013EOJV8,B0013DVVTM,B0006TO66Y

I was wondering if I should just stick with a cream color or maybe try the coco…I wear them all the time so I think you may be on to something, I could always add some extra wraps to my collection

I would go with either purple, brown or cream wraps since those are your colors. I think I’d go with green. Be careful with using ivory, bone and cream. Those might clash with one another because those colors are so close. Would you consider a lighter fabric for a shawl? Your dresses are made of a delicate fabric and the shawls you have selected are kind of heavy and make me think of winter. I don’t know where you live but I’m thinking September isn’t going to be that chilly. *Hope I didn’t offend you with my thoughts 🙂

@tkr77: I think the cocoa and the spiced wine, especially for a fall wedding, would look great together. Cream would be fine too, but I like the wine/brown combo a bit more. AND now I want to get myself a wrap!

I live in Ohio and not to worry I’m not offended! I want ideas all ideas are welcomed! I’m trying to nail down a color, the site does offer other wraps of different thickness, so I’m open to trying a different weight.
