I agree that you probably couldn’t expect it to look exactly the same, but the style actually looks totally different to me.  I would be disappointed too.

Oh wow that is nothing like what you asked for! I hope they work something out for you!

It definitely looks nothing like the Sabelle, but I like it, I think it’s pretty! Sounds like a bad business man though, hopefully you can get some sort of refund.

I bought from Jeff Liu. I am really happy with my results but I had a huge problem with the first dress they made when he sent me the pics. I asked him to remake it and they idd it with no problem at all and I am ecstatic with my gown. it is very ornate and a custom job. I did get some help with translation by a gal over at Offbeat bride to help with some confusion, but your dress request was very straight forward. I wonder what happened? Either way tell him you want it remade, he hasnt shipped it yet so he should be happy to do so. I agree it looks nothing like the SaBelle, which is a gorgeous dress BTW! Heres the dress I had knocked off and my result (the color changes and embroidery changes were per request).

My Jeff Liu dress was the ugliest pile of crap i have ever seen, so please listen to me: DO NOT let him ship that dress. It doesn’t look like the Sabelle at all, and i can tell from the photos that it has the same fabric like adw2c’s and my dress. You will not get a full refund, so please please try to cancel the order and get a full refund now and rather buy a preowned dress. Even if he makes another dress you probably won’t be happy with it, so it’s a waste of money and a big disappointment! The fabric will most probably be the same like now and it’s like plastic! It’s just ugly!

@Future Mrs Morison: I’m so sorry! I wouldn’t let him ship it before you approve the photos he sends… from what I’ve read on here, it’s MUCH easier to get the dress fixed/remade/refund if it never leaves his door. The girl in the above link took down her pictures- her dress was much closer than yours, but was still not what she wanted at all. She ended up getting a 50% refund I think. That’s the thing- if you paid through paypal, you only have 30 days they’ll protect you for… after that, it’s all “grey area” because you’re buying an unusal product for ebay (I’m assuming that’s how you went about it).

The photos above look like someone else’s dress. Unless you asked for the bust to be beaded that way, it looks like it could POSSIBLY be the beginning of yours… One thing I’ve learned is that you have to find out which dressmaker specializes in which fabric. I’ve seen some horrible beads (sequins) & lace from Jeff Lui, but beautiful satin gowns on a couple bees here. Before these latest (bad) reviews here, I ordered a simple chiffon Maggie knockoff from him. Like you, I found nothing but great reviews beforehand. Needless to say, I’m terrified now but he’s promised to send me photos for approval before he ships. I plan to do a completely honest review here & everywhere else that will help other girls when I get my dress. I really hope that he somehow accidentally sent you the wrong photos…. please keep us updated as to how he handles this & good luck 🙂

My goodness I can’t believe how much it doesn’t look like the Sabelle. I feel so sorry for you. Like another bee suggested i’d definetly look into getting a preowned one.

I keep saying this to people.  If you’re in love with a dress don’t get a replica, simple. It will never look like the dress you love, it just won’t.

Im sorry about your dress I seriously hope he fixes it/makes a new one. Worst case scenario I can send you the link to the website that made my sabelle copy for under $200.
