I say find a way to make used work and re-sell it again after your wedding. Good luck. That dress is NOTHING like your dream dress and you should get a FULL refund.

I agree, the two don’t look similar at all 🙁

I also used Jeff Liu for my dress, and had a wonderful experience. BUT, when bees ask me, I always say the same thing – dresses w/ alot of detail, beading, or lace are very difficult to replicate.

The reason I had success with my dress is b/c I loved the silhouette, he nailed it. It was more about structure of the dress vs. details like beading, flowers, lace, etc.

It also seems that other bees, like me, who are pleased, also didn’t have alot of detailed dresses (for the most part) so this is where using a dressmaker is really successful – in replicating silhouettes vs. alot of detail.

I think this guy is scamming you. He said he’d have pictures in X days, then again in X days… then he sends you pics and when you freak he tells you wrong dress, yours isn’t finished? Guaranteed, he’ll send you that dress still, and send you pictures of it again after he mails it. I’d cancel your order now.

Oh wow. I hope he’s telling the truth about those not being the right pictures, but I’d be worried that they ARE and he’s just going to try to rush to fix the dress or come up with something new and he’s just buying time saying they’re the wrong pictures. It looks NOTHING like Sabelle though, so maybe he really did send the wrong pictures. I wouldn’t even let him send that thing to me; it would probably be even more disappointing in real life. I really hope he gets it fixed though!

He must have sent you the wrong picture because its a completely different dress. After all the delays you have dealt with from him, I personally wouldnt wait around for him to remake the dress, I would just get a refund and look elsewhere

Personally, I would start looking for a preowned just as backup, however, wait until you see the new pictures since he said he sent the wrong ones.

Jeff Liu was one of the people that I got a quote from when I was considering having my dress made and although I read good reviews, I just didn’t trust it more than some of the other dressmakers. I ultimately went with IeIe Bridal.

The other thing to be careful with – if he’s shipping your dress from China and tells you to see if you like it and return it for a refund if you don’t.  Be aware, shipping to China is expensive and you will most definitely want some sort of shipping verification (which again, is expensive).  Without shipping proof, all he has to do is say he never received the dress back.

I would insist on seeing pics of the actual dress and if it’s not exactly what you want, insist on a full refund.

Also, how did you pay?  If you paid with Paypal, you have 45 days to file a claim to get your money back.

I agree with @lara bee

This doesn’t sound right and in my experience he says A one day and B the other day and then the next day he doesn’t seem to remember A or B. He’s a weird guy and i don’t trust him anymore.

Is this the dress? She calls it Sable but i think it is the Sabelle. She’s asking 400GBP which is about 650$. I think that’s a good price

I ordered my dress from Jeff Liu February 6 and he said he would start making it then and he thought it would ship the beginning of March. So I emailed him March 2 to ask how things were coming along. He said he should send pics within a week and ship after I am satisfied. I sent another email on the 11th asking for pics and he said that it still isn’t ready. My wedding is less than 1 month from now and I am getting really nervous about all these bad reviews that were nowhere to be found when I ordered. 🙁

I will keep you updated to my experience. I am crossing my fingers and praying for a good review to follow soon…
